Abstract: Embodiments relate to an apparatus and method for determining the complex shear modulus of compliant viscoelastic specimens. The apparatus comprises at least one magnet configured to provide a magnetic field; a specimen and a motor secured to the end of the specimen, wherein the motor is positioned proximate to the magnet such that the motor is in the magnetic field; a first coil fixed to the motor; an amplifier configured to provide a current in the first coil, such that the first coil interacts with the magnetic field and the current to apply a force to the specimen; a second coil fixed to the motor and configured to measure voltage; a mirror secured to the motor; a laser source focused on the mirror and configured to produce a laser, such that the mirror reflects the laser; and a photodetector configured to detect the laser reflected from the mirror.

The lint tool is movable along a longitudinal axis of the housing between a stowed position where the lint tool is housed in the housing and a deployed position where the lint tool is extended from the housing. The lint tool is rotatable relative to the longitudinal axis from the deployed position to a first rotated position. An actuator is mounted to one of the housing and the lint tool. The actuator is configured to move the lint tool from the first rotated position back to the deployed position.

The binder is made by treating biomass such as soybean hull or lemon peels with an aqueous acidic solution for a time, at a temperature, and at a pH sufficient to yield a first mixture containing biomass solids and partially dissolved biomass; and mechanically treating the first mixture of step to yield a first mechanically treated mixture; and then incorporating the first mechanically treated mixture as a binder in an animal feed. Also described are animal feeds made using the binder.

Abstract: A cord grip has a conduit hub configured to be connected to an electronics housing. A bore is formed in the conduit hub and has a first end communicating with the electronics housing and a second end configured to be connected to a conduit. A wire seal retains electrical wiring and is located in the hub forming a liquid-tight seal between the first end and the second end. A channel for transporting liquid from the conduit has an inlet communicating with the conduit and an outlet communicating with the exterior of the electronics housing. An overmolded bond may be formed between the wire seal and the electrical wiring.
