  • Patent number: 12651736
Abstract: A mass spectrometer system for a mass spectrometer is provided. The mass spectrometer system includes a bellows system including a bellows configured to contain a gas and have an internal pressure within the bellows, and a housing configured to surround the bellows. The mass spectrometer system also includes a control system coupled to the bellows system. The control system includes a controller configured to continuously maintain the internal pressure of the bellows at a constant pressure within the bellows and cause, based on the continuous maintaining, delivery of the gas at the constant pressure from the bellows to the mass spectrometer. Related methods and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20250079144
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for transmitting gaseous ionic sample material for subsequent analysis, in particular mass analysis, comprising: a first vacuum chamber through which ionic sample material is guided, the first vacuum chamber being kept in a first pressure range, a second downstream vacuum chamber through which ionic sample material is guided, the second downstream vacuum chamber being kept in a second pressure range which is substantially higher than the first pressure range, and a first gas inlet assembly located substantially at the second vacuum chamber and designed and configured to introduce gaseous matter, which does not originate from the first vacuum chamber, directedly into the second vacuum chamber. The present disclosure relates further to a corresponding method for transmitting gaseous ionic sample material for subsequent analysis, in particular mass analysis.
