  • Patent number: 12287108
Abstract: There is provided a fan assembly comprising a motor-driven impeller arranged to generate an airflow, an air outlet arranged to emit the airflow, at least one filter assembly that is arranged to purify the airflow, a plurality of sensors arranged to measure a value for each of a plurality of air quality characteristic, and a processor. The processor is configured to receive measured values for each of the plurality of air quality characteristics, identify one of a corresponding set of intervals within which the measured value falls, select an air quality index value associated with the identified interval, and generate a corresponding speed value using the selected air quality index value. The processor is then configured to set a speed of the motor-driven impeller in dependence upon the highest of the speed values.

Abstract: There is provided a fan assembly comprising a motor-driven impeller arranged to generate an airflow, an air outlet arranged to emit the airflow, a plurality of sensors arranged to measure a value for each of a plurality of air quality characteristics, a display and a processor. The processor is configured to receive measured values for each of the plurality of air quality characteristics, identify one of a corresponding set of intervals within which the measured value falls and select an air quality index value associated with the identified interval. The processor is then configured to identify the highest of the selected air quality index values as a current overall air quality index value and to cause the display to display a time series plot of the current air quality index value and a number of preceding air quality index values.

  • Patent number: 11713569
Abstract: A stormwater treatment device includes a tank defining an internal volume and having an inlet and an outlet, a rotatable screen unit mounted within the tank, the rotatable screen unit being barrel-shaped to define a through path with an inlet end and an outlet end. The rotatable screen unit includes a screen structure with a plurality of screening openings for allowing passage of at least some water from the through path outwardly through the screen structure while inhibiting passage of trash items through the screen structure such that trash items move along the through path from the inlet end to the outlet end. The rotatable screen unit includes a plurality of external drive paddles that rotate with the screen structure and that interact with water that has been screened by passing outwardly through the screen structure interacts with the external drive paddles to cause rotation of the rotatable screen unit.

  • Patent number: 10262110
Abstract: An alarm manager identifies responders that are confirmed to be available to receive an alarm notification pertaining to a patient device through one or more computing devices. An alarm of the patient device may be suppressed in response to verifying that responders are available to receive the alarm notification. The alarm notification may be transmitted to the identified responders, and verification of receipt, acceptance, and/or completion of the alarm notification is received. An alarm notification may be retransmitted in response to a failure to verify receipt, acceptance, and/or completion within a time threshold.

  • Patent number: 8874407
Abstract: A measurement means for a downhole tool for determining the orientation of the axis of a downhole tool in relation to true north. It includes a gyro sensor capable of measuring angular rate, a rotation means for rotating the gyro sensor about a sensor axis, a measurement means to detect the angular rate at the gyro sensor as it is rotated to form a series of readings, and a processor capable of interpreting the signal amplitude from the series of readings and determining the points of greatest signal amplitude. The processor is also being capable of comparing the phase difference between the actual readings taken against what would be generated with the sensor pointing true north thus providing a downhole tool axis angular deviation from true north. The rotation means rotates the gyro sensor in discrete steps.

  • Patent number: 8661268
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for intelligently powering an electronic device are provided. In one embodiment of the invention, a systems management controller controls a power interface to intelligently negotiate power distribution with a peer, client, or a host device. The primary data path is unaffected by the system management controller communications. Various aspects of the present invention are demonstrated with respect to an exemplary implementation of a unified interface, consisting of an optical link (data path) and a USB link (power). As described, one exemplary embodiment of the invention provides a device with power at levels which are much increased over prior art USB solutions.

  • Patent number: 8438114
Abstract: A digital license includes an identification of a removal service that can authorize removing such license. A client selects the license to be removed and the service, constructs a challenge including therein a challenge license identification block (LIB) identifying the license to be removed, and sends the challenge to the service. The service receives the challenge, stores at least a portion of the challenge in a database, constructs a response corresponding to the challenge and including therein a response LIB identifying the license to be removed and an identification of the service, and sends the response to the client. The client receives the response, employs the response LIB from the response to identify the license to be removed, and removes the identified license upon confirming that the identification of the service in the identified license matches the identification of the service in the response.
