  • Publication number: 20180177828
Abstract: Stem cell exosome-containing compositions are provided, along with methods for their preparation and use for repair of soft tissue damage including treatment of skin conditions and periodontitis. The compositions provided contain isolated stem cell exosomes having increased levels of heat shock stress-response molecules. Uses of the exosome-containing compositions include treating a wound, a burn, a burn resulting from radiation treatment, a discoloration, a scar, and a keloid.

  • Publication number: 20180147420
Abstract: Improved stem cell exosome-containing compositions are provided, along with methods for their preparation and use for regulating skin condition. The compositions provided contain isolated stem cell exosomes having increased levels of heat shock stress-response molecules. Uses of the exosome-containing compositions for regulating human skin include inducing increased skin integrity by cell renewal, enhancing water content or moisture of skin, reducing trans epidermal water loss, skin flaking, and scaling, improving skin thickness, enhancing skin tensile properties, reducing the appearance of dermal fine lines and wrinkles, improving skin texture, reducing skin pores size, enhancing skin smoothness, improving skin age spots, improving skin tone, and improving the appearance of scars and skin abrasions.

  • Publication number: 20070087352
Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and antagonist compounds for modulating androgen receptor activity. The invention includes a method for identifying molecules that bind to a coactivator binding site of a receptor in the androgen receptor family. Also included is a cocrystal of an androgen receptor ligand binding domain complexed with a ligand and a coactivator. The invention further includes a method for inhibiting androgen receptor activity in a mammal, thereby facilitating treatment of diseases such as prostate cancer.

  • Publication number: 20040043420
Abstract: Peptides which bind a cellular (surface or intracellular) receptor, such as a nuclear receptor, may be identified by screening a combinatorial peptide library presented in the form of cells each of which coexpress one member peptide and the receptor, together with a signal producing system for reporting binding. A “two-hybrid” assay is of particular interest. The screen may be carried out in the presence of a ligand, in particular, an exogenous ligand. If this screening is carried out for a plurality of different receptor conformations, then this library screening will also serve to identify conformation-specific peptides for the receptor, which may then be used in a panel for “fingerprinting” query compounds as to their ability to interact with the receptor in the presence of each of the panel peptides. These fingerprints may be compared to those of reference compounds with known biological activities mediated by that receptor.
