  • Patent number: 7491804
Abstract: The identification and use of two major DNA-PKcs autophosphorylation sites. Threonine (T) 2609 and Serine (S) 2056, including antibodies specific for phosphorylated T2609 and 52056. Peptides and polynucleotides encoding same, that feature these two sites of phosphorylation. The antibodies do not bind to the unphosphorylated DNA-PKcs protein or peptide, thus providing diagnostic tools to monitor the effectiveness of treatments which target the DNA repair pathway of cancer cells, and the ability to intervene or inhibit in phosphorylation of T2609 or 52056, either through application of a drug or an antibody, to increase the radiosensitivity of cancer cells.

  • Patent number: 7239478
Abstract: A write element for perpendicular recording in a data storage system is fabricated to maintain the thickness of a side shield at both edges of a pole P3, and to form the pole P3 in a trapezoidal shape. Forming a side shield around the pole P3 removes stray fields, creating a quiet, noise-free write element and preventing side erasure. The fabrication method utilizes a magnetic buffer layer to protect a shield gap during trim of the pole P3, and thus to provide the shield gap with a uniform thickness. The magnetic buffer layer also protects the shield gap and pole P3 when the top hard mask is removed. Consequently, the write field is made uniform across the track width. The fabrication method uses a metal in the shield gap to improve the pole geometry after pole trim and to provide a uniform edge to the pole P3.

  • Publication number: 20050021502
Abstract: A method is provided for processing tree like data structures in a streaming manner. An initial context of name/value bindings is set up. A tree of objects is constructed. Each element in the tree of objects is represented as a function object that accepts a context parameter and a target parameter that it can send a stream of start, content, and end events to represent tree output. The parse tree of objects is examined for element names that are recognized as commands. The commands are converted to special function objects that implement command's semantics. Other elements, that are not recognized as commands, are mapped to a default function object.

  • Patent number: 6685155
Abstract: A net fixing rack structure includes a base, a fixing tube, and a mounting tube. The base is formed with an oblique through hole. The fixing tube has a first end formed with a pin rod and a screw portion and a second end formed with a transverse through hole. The mounting tube is mounted on the fixing tube. The oblique through hole of the base has a determined inclined angle, so that the fixing tube is fixed in the ground with a determined inclined angle. Thus, after the whole net fixing rack structure is assembled, the mounting tube is inclined relative to the ground with a determined angle, thereby enhancing the supporting effect of the net fixing rack structure.

  • Patent number: 6167561
Abstract: A method and apparatus providing a graphical user interface (GUI) that automatically determines timing groups and path groups for a circuit representation. In a first GUI display level, the GUI displays each path group in the circuit and allows the user to change the timing constraints for each path group. In addition, the GUI indicates whether each timing group is activated by a rising or falling clock signal. In addition, the user can define subpaths of a path group. After timing analysis software has analyzed the circuit, by clicking on a timing group in the first GUI display level, the user can view a second GUI display level, which shows details of the paths in the indicated timing group. By clicking on a path in the second GUI display level, the user can view a third GUI display level, which shows a list of each of the elements in the indicated path.

  • Patent number: 5996243
Abstract: A hair dryer includes a casing inside which a heat generation device for generation of heat by burning fossil fuel supplied from a removable internal fuel container and a fan for generation of an air flow passing through the heat generation device to be heated thereby for the provision of heated air stream are arranged. The heat generation device includes a cordierite based ceramic body on which a platinum based oxidation catalyst is coated. An initial ignition device is provided to cause an initial burning of the fuel supplied to thereto for heating the catalyst to the working temperature thereof. Once reaching the working temperature, the catalyst itself maintains the oxidation or burning of the fuel in a flameless manner and the heated air flow is continuously supplied until the fuel supply is cut off and the fan turned off.
