  • Publication number: 20050243141
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a fluid ejection device includes providing a sacrificial structure substantially overlying a semiconductor substrate. The structure has a shape configured to define an ink chamber, ink manifold, and a nozzle. The method also includes providing a first metal adjacent the sacrificial structure and substantially overlying the substrate and removing the sacrificial structure to form the ink chamber and the nozzle. The method further includes removing a portion of the first and second sacrificial materials to form the sacrificial structure.

  • Publication number: 20050193166
Abstract: A computer system includes a plurality of memory modules that contain semiconductor memory, such as DIMMs. The system includes a host/data controller that utilizes an XOR engine to store data and parity information in a striped fashion on the plurality of memory modules to create a redundant array of industry standard DIMMs (RAID). The host/data controller also interleaves data on a plurality of channels associated with each of the plurality of memory modules. To optimize memory bandwidth and reduce memory latency, various techniques are implemented in the present RAID system. Present techniques include providing dual memory arbiters, sorting read cycles by chip select or bank address, providing programmable upper and lower boundary registers to facilitate programmable memory mapping, and striping and interleaving memory data to provide a burst length of one.

  • Publication number: 20050021002
Abstract: Interventional catheter-based systems and methods are described herein for use in generating an initial pathway through vascular occlusions. The catheter systems generally include two elements. A first element is a Blunt Dissection Catheter including a manually actuated assembly located at the distal tip of the Blunt Dissection Catheter that performs blunt dissection in the vascular occlusion to produce a dissection track, or small pathway through the occlusion. The second element is a Sheath Catheter that serves as a conduit within which the Blunt Dissection Catheter is freely advanced, retracted and rotated. The first and second elements are used in some combination to cross vascular occlusions in both the coronary and peripheral vasculature.

  • Publication number: 20050019637
Abstract: A method for forming a fuel cell component includes depositing a hydroxide or oxyhydroxide form of the component, and hydrothermally dehydrating the hydroxide or oxyhydroxide form of the component, wherein the hydrothermally dehydrating of the component establishes the grain structure of the component.

  • Publication number: 20040257422
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods for applying crystalline materials to a substrate by applying a cation and an anion and crystallizing at least a portion of the reaction product of the cation and the anion. The application of at least one of the cation or the anion is actively controlled such that it is applied in a patternwise or blanketwise fashion.

  • Patent number: 6651060
Abstract: Process and system for locating, copying and sending requested records, such as medical records. The system includes a data processing center which acts as a central clearing house for processing the requests, requesters that generate the requests, and providers in possession of the requested records. The data processing center associates requests and related authorization forms generated by the requestor and transmits them to a provider in possession of the requested record. The provider then locates and copies the requested record and sends a copy of the record to the data processing center. The data processing center encrypts a digital copy of the requested medical record and sends it to the requestor. The communication linkages between the various parties advantageously include the Internet. A call center may be employed to ensure provider compliance with the request.

  • Publication number: 20020124177
Abstract: Methods and systems for encrypting and decrypting electronic files and then limiting the ability to copy, alter or send the decrypted information so as to preserve the integrity of the file. The encryption and decryption systems involve an essentially symmetric cipher or key system in which the same key is used to both encrypt the original plaintext and decrypt the resulting ciphertext. The key, or cipher, includes public and private components. The “public key” is typically stored and sent together with the encrypted file in the form of a unique file type that includes the public key appended to the front encrypted file portion. A new public key is typically generated for each electronic file that is encrypted. The “private key” is known only to the encrypting and decrypting parties and may be used to encrypt and decrypt multiple files, or it may be uniquely generated for each encrypted file.
