  • Publication number: 20220202312
Abstract: Respiratory biofeedback-based content selection and playback includes using data obtained using one or more sensors of a mobile device running a software application to produce a respiratory data stream of a user of the software application and select content to output to the user. The respiratory data stream represents various respiratory information of the user and is processed to determine a user state of the user. Certain content is selected based on the user state and based on a defined respiratory objective of a guided session being run using the software application. Initial content previously output to the user during the guided session may then be adjusted by outputting the selected content to the user. A change in the user state resulting from the outputting of the selected content may then be used to determine a progress of the user toward achieving the defined respiratory objective of the guided session.

  • Patent number: 11229749
Abstract: A dosage measurement system is adapted to receive a motion from a dosage injection mechanism disposed within a drug injection pen. The dosage measurement system includes a substrate, a sensing capacitor disposed on the substrate, and a lifting tab. The sensing capacitor includes a dielectric layer disposed between a base plate and an adjustable plate. The lifting tab is attached to the adjustable plate and positioned to engage an undulation pattern disposed on a component attached to the dosage injection mechanism. The lifting tab is adapted to physically change a separation distance between the adjustable plate and the base plate in a reciprocal manner in response to the motion of the dosage injection mechanism and engagement with the undulation pattern. A capacitance of the sensing capacitor changes in response to the engagement of the lifting tab with the undulation pattern and the motion of the dosage injection mechanism.

  • Patent number: 9623961
Abstract: An aircraft assembly including a first part having a pin and a second part having a hook that is movable in an engagement plane to engage the pin to hold the first part in a condition relative to the second part. The pin has a prominent central portion and one or more axially spaced outer portions, the prominent portion is prominent with respect to the outer portions in the engagement plane to cause contact to be made between the hook and the pin within the central portion of the pin, rather than the outer portions of the pin.

  • Publication number: 20120144535
Abstract: This invention relates to a method for making a genetically modified cotton plant by regenerating a whole plant from a plant cell that has been transfected with DNA sequences including a gene, the expression of which results in suppression of oil biosynthesis in the developing seed. Plants made according to this method exhibit increased production of fiber. Also disclosed is a method for making a non-genetically modified cotton plant with reduced seed-oil content by selecting native alleles or alleles produced through mutagenesis that result in reduced oil content with resulting enhanced fiber yield. Methods are disclosed for developing commercially acceptable cultivars that contain the cottonseed-oil suppression trait. Plant cells, plant tissues, plant seed and whole plants containing the above DNA sequences and alleles form part of the invention.

  • Patent number: 7885688
Abstract: A signal of interest (SOI) may be selected from among a plurality of cochannel signals based on one or more internal or external structural feature/s of the SOI, e.g., automatically selected based on any one or more internal or external structural features of the SOI that is known a priori. Examples of such internal structural features include, but are not limited to, number, frequency and/or absolute or relative signal strength (signal to noise ratio) of one or more transmitted signal components (e.g., pilot tones, squelch tones, etc.) present in the SOI; absence of a signal component at a given frequency in the SOI (i.e., present as a “dead spot” at a given frequency within the SOI); signal strength versus frequency profile of the SOI, signal strength versus time domain profile of the SOI, transient characteristics, time versus frequency profile, etc.
