  • Patent number: 10759951
Abstract: A containment for crude oil that inhibits paraffin deposition thereon is described. One to twenty coatings of a composition including a polyacrylate are applied to a crude oil contact surface of a crude oil containment; the polyacrylate includes at least about 50 mole % acrylic acid residues or the conjugate base thereof. The coating compositions are suitably delivered from a water dispersion, solution, or emulsion and dried before applying a subsequent coating. Each of the one to twenty coatings are formed from the same or from different polyacrylate coating compositions. The coated containment surfaces inhibit deposition of at least 10 wt % and as much as 90 wt % of paraffin solids from a crude oil compared to the same crude oil contact in the absence of the one to twenty coatings. The coatings inhibit paraffin deposition at temperatures between about 60° C. and ?40° C.

  • Patent number: 10494591
Abstract: A method for enhancing bleaching efficacy for treatment of articles, including for example laundry is disclosed. Methods for sanitizing and/or disinfecting and bleaching laundry and other articles is provided by washing the articles with a peroxyformic acid composition at a first pH for effective antimicrobial efficacy, thereafter applying an alkaline source to increase the pH for addition of a bleaching activator and/or catalyst for the bleaching agent at a second pH, and lastly draining the remaining components of the peroxyformic acid composition, and the bleaching agent and bleach activator/catalyst from the articles. The methods can be provided as part of a laundry cleaning operation and can be utilized in industrial and commercial applications.

  • Patent number: 10433546
Abstract: A solid glutaraldehyde composition is provided having an increased glass transition temperature. The glutaraldehyde can be used in a method of treating a wellbore or a subterranean formation, by introducing the composition to a wellbore or to an injection line within a wellbore in an amount effective to reduce biodegradation of crude oil, reduce corrosion of metal surfaces from sulfur-reducing bacteria, or to reduce the introduction of bacteria into the formation, reduce microbial contamination of a fluid introduced into the wellbore, or reduce microbial contamination of a pipeline.

  • Publication number: 20170327728
Abstract: Disclosed are inhibitor/cleaner compositions comprising alkyldiphenyloxide disulfonates, and methods of inhibiting corrosion of and removing schmoo from metal containments in contact with corrosive water sources. Also disclosed are metal containment assemblages comprising inhibitor/cleaner compositions and metal containment therefore. The alkyldiphenyloxide disulfonates are soluble or substantially soluble in the water sources and inhibit corrosion of the metal containments by the water sources containing corrodents. The alkyldiphenyloxide disulfonates also remove schmoo from the metal containments. The inhibitor/cleaners of the invention are useful for addition to produced waters and other corrosive water sources resulting from enhanced oil recovery operations.
