  • Publication number: 20260187312
Abstract: A system and a computer-implemented method for training a learning algorithm for siting a new energy generation facility comprises executing simultaneous simulations over multiple electrical power generation capacities by accessing land parcel characteristics, including electricity transmission and market demand data. A clustering algorithm produces a first training set with expected electricity output for subsets of land parcels. Combined scores are calculated based on cumulative land size, transmission length, and projected market revenue, ranked by highest score, and stored by lowest construction cost. The method identifies changes in land parcel characteristics, determines if the changes exceed a threshold, and, if so, re-trains the clustering algorithm by re-executing the steps using the updated characteristics as a second training set.

  • Publication number: 20240248705
Abstract: A non-transitory machine-readable medium includes machine-readable instructions for a cloud computing system. The system comprises a licensing manager that stores licensing data for a plurality of software application projects, authorizing particular accounts to access a subset of the projects. An application marketplace receives a compiled version of a given software application project and licensing information for the project, including a helm chart, a docker image and a version number. The licensing information identifies particular accounts authorized to instantiate the given software application project, and the licensing manager updates the licensing data. An application controller spawns an instance of the given software application project in the cloud computing system in response to a request from a computing platform and verification that the request is associated with an authorized account.

  • Publication number: 20240086934
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for identifying various combinations of parcels of land with sufficient transmission, resources, market demand, and available land to build a wind farm or solar farm. Different criteria associated with each parcel of land include land characteristics including size, ownership, tree coverage, elevations, terrain, buildable land, transmission characteristics including substation hardware costs, network upgrades, general tie-in costs, market characteristics including historical locational marginal pricing (LMPs), and resource characteristics including net capacity factor (NCF) of wind or solar. In one example, the present invention identifies clusters of land parcels that minimize the number of land owners, maximize buildable land, minimize transmission cost, maximize NCF, and maximize nodal LMPs.

  • Publication number: 20200112173
Abstract: One example includes a forecast engine that generates forecast data that characterizes predicted operating conditions of an energy storage system for a given time period in the future, wherein the predicted operating conditions are based on a load history for a power consuming premises coupled to the energy storage system and on a value history for power provided to and consumed from a power grid. The load history of the power consuming premises characterizes unmetered power transferred to the power consuming premises, metered powered transferred from the power grid to the power consuming premises and metered powered exchanged from the energy storage system to the power grid. In the example, a schedule manager generates an operation schedule for operating the energy storage system. The operation schedule includes charge and discharge patterns for an energy storage source that are tuned to curtail power costs and/or elevate power revenue value.
