Patent number: 11237848Abstract: Collaborator content selection and manipulation actions and comments during interaction with a document are recorded to enhance asynchronous collaboration. The collaborator content selection and manipulation actions and comments are recorded during interaction with a document in a first collaboration viewport at a first time and played back in a second collaboration viewport at a second time while the same or a different instance of the document is displayed. The collaborator content selection and manipulation actions and comments include at least text selection, mouse or pen movements, and voice comments or ink annotations that are played back to recreate the collaborator changes and comments as though they were occurring in real-time, thereby creating a user experience that is more like the “over the shoulder” collaboration that would be available to collaborators that are at the same physical location.Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 2019Date of Patent: February 1, 2022Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Seth Fox, Erez Kikin Gil, Daniel P. Publication number: 20200264745Abstract: A computing device identifies detects changes to a shared document from a plurality of users. The computing device determines change activities and corresponding provenance to the shared document in response to detecting the changes. A context of granular changes is generated based on the change activities and corresponding provenance to the shared document. The computing device generates a graphical user interface based on the context. The graphical user interface provides a visualization of the granular changes.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 18, 2019Publication date: August 20, 2020Inventors: Seth Fox, Erez Kikin Gil, Daniel P. Patent number: 10479474Abstract: Provided are wingtip torque boxes and methods of fabricating such boxes using friction stir welding. Specifically, a wingtip torque box may be formed by friction stir welding two monolithic clamshells along their respective spars thereby forming a new monolithic structure. Use of the friction stir welding and monolithic clamshells simplifies the overall fabrication process and yields a robust wingtip torque box that can be bolted on or otherwise attached to an aircraft wing. The wingtip torque box may include internal grid stiffeners and/or external stiffeners that may be also monolithic with other components of the box. For example, the stiffeners may be machined in spars or skin portions of the clamshells during fabrication of clamshells. The wingtip torque box may have a continuous cavity extending between the ends and, in some embodiments, between spars of the box and providing access for performing various operations inside the box.Type: GrantFiled: July 14, 2016Date of Patent: November 19, 2019Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Michael P. Publication number: 20090173411Abstract: Apparatus for shaping a flitch includes an upper shaping head assembly for shaping an upper surface of the flitch, a lower shaping head assembly for shaping a lower surface of the flitch, and a groover assembly for placing at least one groove in a surface of the flitch. The apparatus further includes at least one centering arm and chain runner assembly. The at least one centering arm and chain runner assembly includes a chain runner assembly for conveying the flitch toward a transverse center of the centering arm and chain runner assembly, and a centering arm assembly for positioning the flitch. A flitch transport conveyor includes a conveyor frame, a first dogger arm assembly for engaging a first end of the flitch, and a second dogger arm assembly for engaging a second end of the flitch.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2006Publication date: July 9, 2009Inventors: Jürgen F. Patent number: 5425886Abstract: A system and process for on-demand generation of inert, non-flammable gases and water vapor to decrease the available atmospheric oxygen in the ullage of a hydrocarbon fuel storage tank to a level that will not support combustion of the hydrocarbon fuel, is disclosed. One, or more, of a variety of non-Halon, fire suppressor charges are selectively contained in one or more gas generating cartridges. The gas generating cartridge(s), when activated, cause release of these charges to promote rapid chemical reactions and supply inert, non-flammable gases and water vapor to the tank ullage. Activation is accomplished in aircraft by, either pilot action or, by pressure and temperature sensors contained within the hydrocarbon fuel tank.Type: GrantFiled: June 23, 1993Date of Patent: June 20, 1995Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the NavyInventor: Benjamin D. Patent number: 4137849Abstract: Desensitization of explosive ordnance is effected by the incorporation of a esensitizing agent into a matrix support material to form a bomb liner. The matrix support material holds the desensitizer in place, provides a barrier between the explosive and the metal casing, and controllably releases the desensitizing agent as the temperature of the explosive ordnance nears the rapid decomposition temperature.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 1977Date of Patent: February 6, 1979Assignee: The United States of America as represented by the Secretary of the NavyInventors: Christopher P.
