The device comprises a central processing unit; a communication interface for establishing a communication between the device and a financial institution related to a financial account; an interface for acquiring data relating to the financial account; the secure element for processing at least a portion of the data relating to the financial account acquired by the interface; and control logic for acquiring a purchase amount to be debited from the financial account and for obtaining a transaction authorization from the financial institution related to the financial account, the transaction authorization being based, at least partially, on data processed solely by the secure element independently of data processed by the central processing unit. A method of conducting the secured financial transaction, and a computer program product for execution by the secure element are also disclosed.

Abstract: The present relates to a method and device for controlling access from the device to a card via a Near Field Communication (NFC) interface of the device. An Access Control List (ACL) is stored at a memory of the device. The ACL comprises application signatures and corresponding card identifiers. A request is received at a processor of the device from a specific application executing on the device. The request is for accessing a particular NFC enabled card via the NFC interface of the device. The request comprises a particular card identifier of the particular card and a specific signature of the specific application. A determination is made by the processor based on the specific signature, the particular card identifier and the ACL. The determination consists in whether the specific application is granted or alternatively denied access to the particular card via the NFC interface.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and device for controlling access from the device to a card via a Near Field Communication interface of the device. An Access Control List (ACL) is stored at a memory of the device. The ACL comprises application signatures and corresponding card identifiers. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and a terminal management system for managing a device used as a payment terminal and comprising a secure element. The method comprises generating a profile of the payment terminal on the terminal management system, based on a specific execution environment of the payment terminal. The method also comprises uploading a payment acceptance applet on the secure element of the device. The method further comprises transmitting data of the profile from the terminal management system to the secure element of the device and configuring the uploaded payment acceptance applet on the secure element with the transmitted data. The payment acceptance applet may be selected among a plurality of payment acceptance applets based on the specific execution environment of the payment terminal.

Abstract: This invention provides a process for the production of diesel boiling range hydrocarbons, the process including at least the steps of obtaining an olefinic feed stream from one or more hydrocarbon producing processes wherein the olefinic feed stream contains branched short chain olefins having a chain length of from three to eight carbon atoms, and contacting the feed stream with a shape selective medium pore acid zeolite catalyst in a pressurised reactor at elevated temperature so as to convert said short chain olefins to higher hydrocarbons. The invention also provides an apparatus for carrying out the process and recovering the catalyst for reuse.

Abstract: A trigger system for an automatic handgun includes a trigger bar sized to be installed in an interior space behind a trigger by movement from the magazine well. The trigger bar is first inserted into the inlet opening of the magazine well and into the interior space which includes a front cavity having a pair of spaced apart upper shoulders and lower shoulders that limit movement of the trigger bar upwardly and forwardly respectively. The interior space further includes a rear cavity that includes a pair of spaced apart lower ledges and a pair of spaced apart rear walls for limiting the rearward and downward movement of the trigger bar. The front cavity is adjacent the trigger and trigger guard. The rear cavity is formed within the handgrip. The trigger system and method is specifically designed for a Colt 1911 .45 pistol with an enlarged magazine well inlet opening for receiving an enlarged stagger magazine.

Abstract: A bolt action for a firearm which comprises a bolt with a removable handle which can be attached to the bolt for left handed use or for right handed use. The receiver has slots for back and forth movement and rotation to left or to right to close the chamber and has apertures for safe cartridge ejection either to the left or to the right according to the position of the handle. Primary cartridge extraction is provided for both in left handed and right handed use by a cam surface of equilateral triangular shape on the receiver and a co-acting shape on a neck of the handle as well as protection against erroneous movement of the handle to the wrong side, in use.
