    Abstract: The present invention provides a method for generating a graphical user interface capable of reproducing, using purely visual means, the tone, pacing, and volume of speech. This may be used to reproduce the original sense of the speech, such as for language training, or to convey the impression of the speech for users unable to hear. The transcribed speech is reproduced as text, with representations of at least one of the timing, pitch, volume, or other speech characteristics.
