  • Publication number: 20020078131
Abstract: A method and system for presenting information by geographical location in a geographical region includes a map data input and an operational data input. The map data input provides map data of a geographical region including geographical locations within the geographical region. The operational data input provides operational data associated with the geographical locations within the geographical region. A processor processes the map data and the operational data to generate a map display of the geographical region for presenting operational data by geographic location. The processor classifies the operational data into classifications and then associates the classifications and the operational data with the map data to generate the map display.

  • Patent number: 5568604
Abstract: A method and system for generating a working window on a video monitor in a computer system is provided. The method comprises the steps of determining if a user has performed a first predetermined input stroke along at least a portion of the touch-sensitive screen. Upon determining that the user has drawn the predetermined input stroke, a plurality of icons are displayed. A user selects one of the plurality of icons via a second predetermined input stroke and a working window is scrolled onto the video monitor. A computer program that corresponds to the selected icon is then executed in the working window. The user can remove the working window from the screen by touching the touch-sensitive screen and performing a third predetermined input stroke.

  • Patent number: 5442456
Abstract: An apparatus for generation of multi-level navigable video environments is disclosed. Generation of the virtual realities is accomplished by a video monitor, a touch screen, a CPU, and a compact disc storage device. The storage device contains pre-generated audio and visual data. The visual data includes a plurality of digitized photographic images stored as a plurality of frames of a visual track. The frames may be selectively accessed by a user through the touch screen to provide the user the ability to navigate through a navigable video environment. Further, while the user is within the navigable video environment, a second-level of a navigable video environment is accessible. The data for generation of the second-level of video environment is also stored within the storage device and is also pre-generated.
