  • Publication number: 20180216629
Abstract: A radial compressor having a compressor rotor with blades; a compressor housing, a diffuser having guide vanes. The diffuser delimits a flow duct in radial direction. The guide vanes of have a flow inlet edge, a flow outlet edge, and flow-conducting sides. The guide vanes project into the flow duct that is delimited by the diffuser. The guide vanes merge into a support body subject to forming a curvature region that is defined on the flow side. In each position of the curvature region, i.e. in the region of the flow inlet edge, in the region of the flow outlet edge and in regions between the flow inlet edge and the flow outlet edge a curvature radius that is defined on the flow side is formed in each case.

  • Patent number: 9482078
Abstract: A pump includes one or more stages, each stage including a tubular housing and a mandrel disposed in the housing. The mandrel includes a rotor rotatable relative to the housing and having: an impeller, a shaft, and one or more helicoidal blades on an outer surface of the impeller. The mandrel further includes a diffuser: connected to the housing, having the rotor shaft extending therethrough and having a plurality of vanes on an outer surface thereof. Each vane has an arcuate portion and a longitudinal portion. The diffuser further has a channel formed between an adjacent pair of vanes. The pump further includes a fluid passage formed between the housing and the mandrel.

  • Patent number: 8851165
Abstract: A pumping system includes a submersible high speed electric motor operable to rotate a drive shaft; a high speed pump rotationally connected to the drive shaft and including a rotor having one or more helicoidal vanes; an isolation device operable to expand into engagement with a production tubing string, thereby fluidly isolating an inlet of the pump from an outlet of the pump and rotationally connecting the motor and the pump to the casing string; a cable having two or less conductors and a strength sufficient to support the motor, the pump, the isolation device, and a power conversion module (PCM); and the PCM operable to receive a DC power signal from the cable, and supply a second power signal to the motor.

  • Publication number: 20130315751
Abstract: A method of installing or retrieving a pumping system into or from a live wellbore includes connecting a lubricator to a production tree of the live wellbore and raising or lowering one or more downhole components of the pumping system from or into the wellbore using the lubricator.

  • Patent number: 8584761
Abstract: A motor includes two or more sections. Each section includes a submersible tubular housing and a stator core disposed within the housing. The stator core has one or more lobes and each lobe has a winding wrapped therearound. The motor further includes a rotor disposed within the housing and including a shaft and a rotor core. The rotor core has two or more lobes. Each section is incrementally oriented so that the sections may be operated to mimic a multi-phase motor.

  • Patent number: 8408312
Abstract: A method of unloading liquid from a reservoir includes deploying a pumping system into a wellbore to a location proximate the reservoir using a cable. The pumping system includes a multi-section motor, an isolation device, and a pump. The method further includes supplying a power signal from the surface to the motor via the cable and sequentially operating each section of the motor to mimic a multi-phase motor, thereby driving the pump and lowering a liquid level in the tubular string to a level proximate the reservoir.
