Abstract: This disclosure provides techniques to utilize decentralized identifiers (DIDs) and verifiable credentials for secure, privacy-preserving transactions. In one aspect, a method is provided that includes: receiving user information; determining a DID based on the information; providing the DID to a user device; verifying the user's identity by validating the DID and associated verifiable credentials; and performing a transaction based on the verified DID. Other aspects are provided, such as generating a public-private key pair for the user, associating the DID with the public key, and/or creating a DID document stored on a distributed ledger accessible to authorized entities.

Abstract: A computing system receives a request to verify a user, the request comprising an indication of a jurisdiction in which the user will be verified. Based on the request, the computing system collects information related to the user. Based on the request, the computing system identifies a workflow corresponding to the jurisdiction. The workflow defines conditions for obtaining a verified status in the jurisdiction. The computing system executes the workflow to verify the user. The computing system hashes the verification record using a zero-knowledge proof protocol. The computing system generates a non-fungible token corresponding to the verification record. The non-fungible token is associated with a hashed version of the verification record. The computing system broadcasts the non-fungible token to a blockchain.

Abstract: Management of a virtual machine is enhanced by establishing an initial availability policy for the machine. Once the virtual machine is invoked, the real environment for the virtual machine is monitored for the occurrence of predetermined events. If a real environment event is detected that could affect the availability of the virtual machine, the availability policy of the virtual machine is automatically adjusted to reflect the new or predicted state of the real environment.
