    Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided to cut sheet material into quadrilateral pieces. The sheet material first is slit lengthwise into ribbons; then a swing assembly lays the ribbons onto a cutting bed, where circular knives cut them transversely into quadrilateral pieces. The swing assembly has a fixed end adjacent the slitting apparatus, and a free end that describes a reciprocating arc over the cutting bed.
