  • Publication number: 20250353771
Abstract: There is disclosed a system, method and apparatus for generating renewable energy from common waste streams in a low-carbon manner. This system is modular and applicable to operations of a range of sizes. The system comprises a waste homogenization system; a feedstock preparation component involving dilution, nutrient adjustment, and mixing; a pretreatment tank; a hydrolysis tank; and an optional photosynthetic bioreactor. Through use of the system, organic waste is converted into biohydrogen (H2) and/or biomethane (CH4). The choice between producing each gas individually or in combination is controlled via selective treatment of the incoming waste.

  • Publication number: 20250353207
Abstract: A method and device for machining conical wooden workpieces are disclosed. The workpiece has two long sides that are curved and lie at an angle to one another. A first planing tool planes one long side along its curvature, while a second planing tool planes the opposite long side along the same curvature, superimposed with a desired conicity. The second planing tool is adjusted transversely to the transport direction during planing. The device comprises two planing tools mounted on sliders, which are coupled and adjustable by a drive unit. A pressing unit and a scanning shoe enable precise guidance of the workpiece during machining, minimizing wood waste and maximizing yield.

  • Publication number: 20180126511
Abstract: With the machine, workpieces are machined as they pass through the machine. At least one of the spindles of the machine is coupled with an adjusting unit with which the spindle, for producing a contour on the workpiece, can be adjusted transverse to the throughfeed direction of the workpiece during workpiece throughfeed. The adjustment of the adjusting unit is realized as a function of the advancing speed of the workpiece and/or the workpiece position upon throughfeed of the workpiece. The adjusting unit has such a stiffness and/or low clearance and/or positioning precision that the end products machined from the workpieces after exiting from the machine can be used without further post-machining. The end products have such a geometry precision and surface quality that further post-machining is no longer required.
