Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to providing augment graph services for artificial reality systems. An augment graph represents a logical repository and manager of augments that stores augment information affiliated with a variety of applications and/or users. Augments are virtual objects displayed by a computing system within an environment. Implementations of the augment graph are distributed across multiple systems, such as multiple artificial realty systems, cloud systems, edge systems, and the like. The augment information stored by the augment graph can include data that supports the display of a diverse set of augments. The distributed augment graph can selectively share graph augment information with requesting applications and/or users according to access control restrictions enforced for the persisted augments. Accordingly, augments generated by an owner application and/or user can be shared with multiple other applications and users via the augment graph.
