  • Publication number: 20230222795
Abstract: A system and method for detecting false or exaggerated responses to physical contact. Image capture devices are positioned around a monitored area for capturing still or video images of an activity that include a moment of contact. Those images are synchronized to allow for composite analysis. Then object detection is performed to identify objects of interest within the images. Structural elements of the objects are then identified. Based on the structural elements, a determination is made as to whether a contact was made, for example based on whether structural elements of two nearby objects became adjacent or overlapping with one another, a force is calculated based on a speed of movement of those elements, and then machine learning is used to determine whether a response to contact was within reasonable expectations based on the amount of force and other factors.

  • Publication number: 20230204935
Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to systems and methods for imaging a microscopic sample, for example in a liquid or a solid. The systems can be coupled to a portable electronic device and adjusted in three dimensions to allow for alignment of a lens assembly with an optical axis of a camera on a portable electronic device. This can allow for use across various-sized electronic devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and digital cameras. The systems can have a compact size, which allows for portable and/or at-home analysis of samples. The systems can be used to analyze sperm samples to detect fertility issues. The systems can be used to analyze soil or liquid samples to detect contaminants, such as microplastics.

  • Publication number: 20190130424
Abstract: A system and method to provide a sentiment measurement system with automatic ad placement to collect surveys of voters is described. This enables a candidate to rapidly and easily measure voter sentiment at scale, quickly and cost-effectively while addressing technical limitations that normally prevent accurate use of traditional internet ad platforms for such purposes. Existing ad targeting is not designed for providing representative samples, thus the system can automatically target ads and regularly adjust based on incoming poll responses to ensure representative data is received. The system and method applies to other sentiment measurement, e.g. general opinion polling. Further, the system and method combines online micro-targeting with dynamic bias correction to produce appropriate sample groups.
