  • Patent number: 12668205
Abstract: Systems and methods for accessing one or more compartments or systems of a non-automotive vehicle. One system includes an electronic communications device including an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to authenticate an access control system of a non-automotive vehicle using a first wireless communications protocol, determine distance information via ranging between the electronic communications device and the access control system using a second wireless communications protocol, and send the distance information to the access control system, thereby enabling the access control system to selectively unlock a steering mechanism of the non-automotive vehicle based on the distance information.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20240274383
Abstract: A switch module comprising a switch carrier, and an engine stop knob configured to rotate the switch carrier and to be rotated between a neutral position and an active engine stop position, wherein when the engine stop knob is rotated to the neutral position, the engine stop knob rotates the switch carrier to disengage from first microswitches to allow transmission of current to an engine of the vehicle, and when the engine stop knob is rotated to the active engine stop position, the engine stop knob rotates the switch carrier to engage with the first microswitches to prevent transmission of current to the engine. The switch module further comprises an engine start knob actuatable to engage with a second microswitch in the neutral position of the engine stop knob to start power generation process of the engine.

  • Publication number: 20240242905
Abstract: An integrated three position rocker switch for vehicles comprises a housing configured to support one or more components of the switch, a knob assembly, a first micro-switch, a second micro-switch and knob. The knob assembly is disposed in the housing, wherein the knob assembly comprises a knob pivotally supported in the housing, and a plunger coupled with the knob through a resilient member. The first micro-switch is coupled with the knob assembly in the housing, and the second micro-switch is disposed in the housing in vicinity of the first micro-switch. The knob is configured to move in multiple positions for actuating the first and second micro-switches to perform more than one operation.

  • Publication number: 20240227977
Abstract: A clamp assembly for a handlebar of a vehicle comprises a first clamp body and a second clamp body. The first clamp body and the second clamp body are pivotally mounted around the handlebar. The first clamp body and the second clamp body are hinged at one end using a hinge pin. A resilient means is mounted at the hinge pin and adapted to be coupled with the first clamp body and the second clamp body. The resilient means is adapted to provide a torsional force for moving the first and second clamp body from a closed position to an open position of the clamp assembly. The clamp assembly is adapted with a switch assembly. A stopper pin is configured on the first clamp body to secure the switch assembly on the clamp assembly.

  • Patent number: 11292542
Abstract: Systems and methods for heating a handgrip of a vehicle. One system includes a first handgrip and a second handgrip. The first handgrip includes a first processor, a first heating element, and a first temperature sensor configured to produce a temperature signal indicative of a temperature related to the first heating element. The second handgrip includes a second processor, second heating element, and a second temperature sensor configured to produce a temperature signal indicative of a temperature related to the second heating element. The first processor is configured to receive a temperature signal from the first sensor, compare the signal to a first threshold, and adjust power supplied to the first element based on the signal. The second processor is configured to receive a second temperature signal from the second sensor, compare the signal to a second threshold, and adjust power supplied to the second element based on the signal.
