  • Patent number: 12372316
Abstract: A handgun trigger has a trigger body configured for pivotable or rotatable movement when installed in a handgun. A trigger shoe is removably attached or attachable to the trigger body and defines a user interface for firing the handgun. The trigger shoe can be made of polymeric material and can be attached to the trigger body using a snap fit. For example, the trigger shoe snaps over rear-facing surfaces of the trigger body when installed. Also disclosed is a takedown lever assembly for a semiautomatic handgun, where the takedown actuation lever operable between a firing position and a takedown position. In the takedown position the takedown actuation lever permits removal of the slide from the frame. In the takedown position the trigger is blocked from rotating to the pulled trigger position.

  • Publication number: 20250231628
Abstract: A system comprises: an input device to generate commands for controlling a medical device; and an operator-detection sensor to generate sensor data indicating an operator's presence/absence at the input device. Movement of the medical device is controlled based on a comparison of the data with a baseline and a command line. The medical device is not moved when a comparison with a first baseline indicates the operator's absence, and the device is moved when a comparison with a first command line indicates the operator's presence. A triggering event is detected for a calibration procedure, which comprises establishing a second baseline associated with the operator's absence and establishing a second command line associated with the operator's presence. The medical device is not moved when a comparison with the second baseline indicates the operator's absence, and the device is moved when a comparison with the second command line indicates the operator's presence.

  • Publication number: 20250226070
Abstract: A process for determining direct effect modifiers (DEMs) for an exposure of interest can include determining pre-treatment variables corresponding to characteristics of different subsets of an observed population for the exposure of interest, each individual of the observed population having a respective exposure to the exposure of interest and a corresponding outcome. A predicted conditional average treatment effect (CATE) can be determined for the exposure of interest on the observed population. Each variable in a matrix of covariates selected from the pre-treatment variables can be orthogonalized to the remaining covariates. Regression can be performed on the predicted CATE to determine additional residuals for each pre-treatment variable. Variables with additional residuals significantly associated with CATE are inferred to be DEMs.

  • Publication number: 20250111396
Abstract: A system is configured to provide a survey interface that collects response data, including both quantitative and qualitative response data, using multiple capture mediums. Mediums used to capture response data include input forms that collect structured response data on particular questions, as well as multimedia input forms that capture and collect free form multimedia response data in video form. This mix of quantitative and qualitative response data is analyzed across multiple modalities and used to develop an indexed response dataset, which may be queried to determine a set of pre-configured insights. An insight interface visualizes these pre-configured insights and accepts additional queries to provide a query interface that draws from the static indexed response dataset to allow for dynamic, conversational querying for additional insights.

  • Publication number: 20250102667
Abstract: A vehicular sensing system, responsive to processing image data captured by a forward-viewing camera at a first time, generates a first set of lane geometries representing curvature and location of a portion of at least one traffic lane of a road respective to a first position of the equipped vehicle at the first time. The vehicular sensing system, via processing motion data representative of motion of the equipped vehicle, tracks the first set of lane geometries. Based on processing of the motion data and the tracked first set of lane geometries, the vehicular sensing system generates a second set of lane geometries representing the curvature and location of the portion of the at least one traffic lane respective to a second position of the vehicle at a second time. The vehicular sensing system determines a blind zone based on the generated second set of lane geometries.
