  • Patent number: 11990022
Abstract: Devices, methods, and systems of a self-testing duct environment detector are described herein. One self-testing duct environment detector system includes a first portion to be mounted outside of a duct, the first portion having a detector housing with a space therein, the space having a detector with a sensing chamber and a self-testing sensing apparatus therein, wherein the self-testing sensing apparatus determines whether airflow through the detector housing is above a threshold and a second portion and third portion each configured to extend into the duct, wherein the second portion has at least one inlet aperture formed therein and wherein the third portion has at least on outlet aperture therein.

  • Publication number: 20240132149
Abstract: A pump apparatus for an electrohydraulic power steering mechanism for a vehicle includes a hydraulic pump, a working line, a pressure generator, a first control line, a preliminary pressure line, a compensation tank, a shut-off valve having a control inlet, and a second control line. The hydraulic pump is designed to pump a hydraulic oil out of a pump chamber to a pump outlet of the hydraulic pump. The pressure generator has a pressure generation inlet and a pressure generation outlet, and the pressure generator is designed to generate, using an inlet pressure present at the pressure generation inlet, an outlet pressure which can be provided at the pressure generation outlet and is lower than the inlet pressure. As a result, a preliminary pressure can be generated in the pump chamber.

  • Publication number: 20240124053
Abstract: An electrohydraulic power steering device for a vehicle includes a hydraulic pump, a drive, a first working line, a second working line, and a heat exchanger. The hydraulic pump is designed, in a first rotation direction, to pump a hydraulic oil to a first pump output of the hydraulic pump and, in a second rotation direction, to pump said oil to a second pump output of the hydraulic pump. The drive is coupled to the hydraulic pump and is designed to drive the hydraulic pump selectively in the first rotation direction or second rotation direction. The first working line is shaped to connect the first pump output fluidically to a first working chamber, the first working chamber being suitable for moving a piston, which is couplable to a steering bar of a steering system, in a first direction. The heat exchanger is designed to transfer heat that is generated during operation of the drive to at least one of the working lines in order to heat the hydraulic oil flowing through the working line.

  • Publication number: 20240109126
Abstract: A printhead (1) for printing molten metal for additive manufacturing of a component includes a nozzle component (10) having a nozzle outlet opening (12), a piston (14; 14a) that ejects the molten metal through the nozzle outlet opening (12), an actuator assembly (16; 16a) having an actuator, and a biasing element. By actuating the actuator, the piston (14; 14a) is movable in an actuation direction (y) from an extended position to a retracted position, in which a first piston end (18) that faces the nozzle outlet opening (12) is farther away from the nozzle outlet opening (12) than in the extended position. The biasing element (26; 26a) biases the piston (14; 14a), at least when it is located in the retracted position, back toward the extended position.

  • Publication number: 20200271486
Abstract: A method for producing an electric component, including at least one component assembly, wherein the component assembly includes a mounting support and at least one electrically conductive metal wire. In order to form the component assembly the at least one electrically conductive metal wire is mounted on and/or in the mounting support, and the at least one component assembly is covered at least in sections with plastic, in particular is injection moulded at least in sections, in a plastic casting method, in particular in a plastic injection-moulding method. The invention further relates to an electric component.

  • Publication number: 20190172354
Abstract: Warning a two-wheeled vehicle driver, in particular a motorcyclist or cyclist, of a collision with a vehicle approaching the two-wheeled vehicle from a rearward space, is accomplished using a sensor device for capturing objects in the rearward space. In one embodiment, one of the sensors is provided for capturing objects in a close rearward range, which, in particular for the two-wheeled vehicle driver, is in the blind sport, and a further one of the sensors is arranged for capturing objects in a far rearward range, which in particular extends up to 50 m away from the two-wheeled vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20070036635
Abstract: A bolted joint which is formed by using a bolt having a tapered shoulder to cold form a deformable sleeve in order to provide a “zero-clearance” fit. Specifically, preferably a plurality of bolted joints are used to join a ring gear to a differential case. As the bolts are installed into the differential case and ring gear, tapered shoulders on the bolts dilate deformable sleeves until outer diameters of the sleeves contact internal walls of through holes in the differential case.
