  • Patent number: 11240964
Abstract: A harvester or combine includes a folding corn head with a center section and folding wing sections. A folding row separator cover at the hinge location of the folding head sections folds to an angled position so that the folding action between the wings and the center section is not impaired. A single assembly actuates the folding of the row separator as well as locking and unlocking of the wing sections relative to the center frame section. A hydraulic cylinder actuates a main link that connects to the row separator cover and to a lock pin. Actuation of the hydraulic cylinder raises and lowers the cover and disengages and engages the locking pin.

  • Publication number: 20200325642
Abstract: A portable device for slowing and disabling moving vehicles, which consists of a plurality of individual blocks carried on a portable mat. The blocks are coated with an adhesive that affixes the blocks to the tire treads of a vehicle rolling over the device. The weight of the blocks unbalances the vehicle tires and creates a severe vibration, which retards the vehicle speed without severely destabilizing the driver's control of the vehicle.

A single assembly actuates the folding of the row separator as well as locking and unlocking of the wing sections relative to the center frame section. A hydraulic cylinder actuates a main link that connects to the row separator cover and also to a lock pin. Actuation of the hydraulic cylinder pulls the extended end of the main link rearward and upward to raise the cover. The same motion also pulls the locking pin forward from engagement. Retraction of the hydraulic cylinder rod lowers the extended end of the frame of the main link and pulls the cover downward while also moving the lower portion of the main link rearward to engage the locking pin with the frame.

  • Publication number: 20100024223
Abstract: The cast saws embodying this invention include an ergonomic egg shaped saw body and a spiral cut blade, which eliminates the exposed circular blade of conventional cast saws. The spiral cut blade extends from the bottom of the saw body. The spiral cut blade is driven by an electric DC drive motor, which is housed within the saw body along with batteries and other electronics and wiring. A blade shield is pivotally mounted to the saw body, which covers the spiral cut blade when not in use. The shield pivots upward against the saw body as the cast saw moves over and cuts the cast from the patient. A guide assembly extends from the bottom of the saw body, which includes a thin neck part and a flat foot plate. The foot plate acts as a guide, which travels between the patient's skin and the inside layer of gauze of the cast. The foot plate also ensures that the spiral cut blade never contacts the patient's skin.
