    Abstract: A flexible gripper head for gripping an ophthalmic lens, comprises a gripping portion arranged at a distal longitudinal end of the gripper head and comprising a convex contact surface for contacting the ophthalmic lens to be gripped, a mounting portion arranged proximal to the gripping portion, a pivot portion arranged between the mounting portion and the gripping portion, wherein the gripping portion is flexibly pivotable with respect to the mounting portion about the pivot portion, and a principal vacuum supply channel. The gripping portion comprises at least three suction openings arranged in the ophthalmic surface of the gripper head. The gripper head further comprises a plurality of secondary vacuum supply channels comprising a proximal end fluidically connected to the principal vacuum supply channel and a distal end fluidically connected to one of the at least three suction openings arranged in the convex contact surface.
