Abstract: A method and system for using micropatterns to motivate a customer is disclosed. The technology determines that a triggering event is likely. In addition, a customer's location is also determined. A micropattern outlook for a customer's location is accessed. A time when there will be a forecast break in a micropattern is determined. A message is then provided to the customer to incentivize the customer, the message having a time window within the forecast break in the microsystem and an incentive for the customer, wherein the incentive is not related to the micropattern.
