  • Publication number: 20250093047
Abstract: An inductive cooktop system includes a top plate for supporting a cookware object and a display disposed vertically below the top plate. A sensor array is disposed between the top plate and the display. An induction coil is disposed vertically below the display, where the induction coil is operable to generate a magnetic field extending above the top plate. A control system receives an input indicating a location of the cookware object on the top plate and determines a first set of pixels of the display corresponding to the location of the cookware. A burner graphic is displayed at a periphery of the first set of pixels at the indicated location for the cookware object. A second set of pixels are identified that are sized to display a control graphic outside of the burner graphic.

  • Publication number: 20240206025
Abstract: An inductive cooktop includes a transparent panel arranged to support a cookware object and an induction coil layer below the transparent panel. The induction coil layer includes a plurality of induction coils and a plurality of drivers in electronic communication with the induction coils. Each induction coil of the induction coil layer includes a ferrite core having a central portion circumscribed by windings of a conductor and a pair of end portions extending perpendicularly from the central point, the end portions bounding the conductor windings. The end portions of the ferrite core have a cross-section without corners, and may have radiused edges.

  • Publication number: 20240172336
Abstract: An inductive cooktop includes a transparent panel arranged to support a cookware object and an induction coil layer below the transparent panel. The induction coil layer includes a plurality of induction coils and a plurality of drivers in electronic communication with the induction coils. The induction coil layer is configured to operate adjacent induction coils to create adjacent electromagnetic fields having opposite polarity. Adjacent induction coils may be driven with current equal in amplitude and opposite in phase. Adjacent induction coils may be formed having windings oriented in opposite direction and driven in symmetrical phase.

  • Publication number: 20240167690
Abstract: An inductive cooktop includes a transparent panel arranged to support a cookware object, and an electrically actuated display panel disposed below the transparent panel. The display panel includes a first set of lines and a second set of lines disposed orthogonally and forming a 2D matrix arranged to operate picture elements at intersections of the first and second sets of lines, where each picture element is refreshed at a refresh rate. An induction coil is below the display panel to generate a time varying electromagnetic field that inductively couples with the cookware object supported at the transparent panel. A driver is in electronic communication with the induction coil for providing power to the induction coil. The refresh rate is synchronized to the time varying electromagnetic field to minimize an induced voltage on one of the first and second set of lines of the display panel.

  • Publication number: 20200133028
Abstract: A system for custom manufacturing a film to be temporarily applied to lenses of eyewear is provided. The system includes a measuring unit for measuring dimensions of the lenses, a user-interface for receiving user input pertaining to desired properties of the film, and a film-cutting unit for cutting the film according to the dimensions of the lenses. The system can also include a control unit that is configured to receive the dimensions of the lenses from the measuring system, and transmit information pertaining to the dimensions of the lenses to the film-cutting system. The system can also include a payment unit for receiving payment from a user.
