Publication number: 20230013632Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide smart alerts to users, e.g., alerts to users about diabetic states that are only provided when it makes sense to do so, e.g., when the system can predict or estimate that the user is not already cognitively aware of their current condition, e.g., particularly where the current condition is a diabetic state warranting attention. In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 19, 2022Publication date: January 19, 2023Inventors: Anna Leigh DAVIS, Scott M. Patent number: 11519770Abstract: A fuel truck is used to deliver fuel to vehicles parked at one or more locations. While the fuel truck is servicing vehicles, a user of the fuel truck uses a mobile device to assist in the management of fuel delivery. Specifically, each vehicle being serviced has a tag that is a capable of being read by the mobile device. The tag communicates information that identifies the vehicle, and the mobile device communicates with a meter on the fuel truck to track how much fuel is delivered to the identified vehicle. The mobile device also controls the meter such that fuel is allowed to flow only when the mobile device is aware of which vehicle is receiving the fuel. Thus, over time, the mobile device is able to track accurately which vehicle is receiving fuel so that the amount of fuel delivered to each vehicle can be precisely determined.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2022Date of Patent: December 6, 2022Assignee: GMS Industries, LLCInventor: Larry Benjamin Morris

Patent number: 11397935Abstract: A system and method for wireless transactions provides a software development kit (SDK) that provides accessibility to inherent communication capabilities within a wireless communication device. The communication capabilities are normally not accessible to a software developer. However, the SDK provides an appropriate interface that permits a software developer to create application programs for a variety of transactions between the wireless communication device and a mobile network operator (MNO). In some transactions, the MNO may function as a financial service provider in which a user has an account with an associated monetary value. The SDK provides a simplified technique for executing a financial transaction, such as making a payment or transferring money by presenting easy-to-use menus that avoid the difficulty of memorizing transaction codes, user phone numbers, and the like.Type: GrantFiled: April 2, 2018Date of Patent: July 26, 2022Assignee: Hover Developer Services, Inc.Inventors: David Lewis Kutalek, Benjamin Morris Lyon, Michael Scott Benedict

Publication number: 20220198374Abstract: A system can implement a delivery service for a service region by monitoring, for each respective sub-region of the service region, supply conditions corresponding to transport providers available to deliver menu items from menu item suppliers to requesting users. When the supply conditions have dropped below the equilibrium threshold for a respective sub-region, the system can initiate a supply-constrained mode for the respective sub-region in which the system inputs each respective menu item request received, corresponding to a delivery location within the respective sub-region, into a queue, and dynamically determines a fulfillment probability for the respective menu item request. When the fulfillment probability of the respective menu item request exceeds a fulfillment threshold, the system can transmit the respective menu item request to a corresponding menu item supplier for preparation of a corresponding menu item and coordinate delivery of the corresponding menu item to the requesting user.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 2, 2021Publication date: June 23, 2022Applicant: Uber Technologies, Inc.Inventors: David Bivins, Jason Wien, Daniel Wang, Benjamin Morris Dreier, Pierce Cunneen
