  • Patent number: 12565973
Abstract: A gobo used to project an image by selectively transmitting and blocking light includes a blank made of transparent material. There is an etched or frosted area on the surface of the blank having a surface morphology characterized by micro-pyramids, which may be produced using a pico-second or femto-second laser. The micro-pyramids cause micro-lensing to occur when the gobo is in use, thereby rendering the etched or frosted area fully opaque and cause the gobo to produce a sharp projected image.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 7, 2025
Date of Patent: March 3, 2026
Inventors: Joel A. Nichols, Benjamin Powers, Samuel Morrison
  • Patent number: 12527609
Abstract: Disclosed herein are implant containers and methods for using same. The implant containers disclosed herein can utilize a single sterile barrier to contain the implant, thereby minimizing a size of the container to facilitate efficient storage and handling of implants while within a container. Further, the implant containers and methods disclosed herein can facilitate ready identification of an implant type and/or size contained within, ease of manufacture of the container, ease of assembly during manufacture, ease of use in removing the implant from the container, etc.

  • Publication number: 20240335607
Abstract: A method includes calculating a volume of fluid in a pumping chamber when the chamber is not full or empty based on pressure and temperature measurements taken during a negative full-volume state, a positive full-volume state, and an empty-volume state, and an infusion system includes a controller configured to carry out such calculation. Such method, or a separate method, may measure temperature and pressure of a common volume and a pumping chamber, wherein the pressure is measured using a pressure sensor and the temperature is measured using a temperature sensor, optionally one that measures the temperature of the pressure sensor, and calculate a volume of fluid in the pumping chamber based on ideal gas law and the pressure and temperature measurements, and such infusion system, or a separate system, includes a controller configured to carry out such measurement and calculation.

  • Publication number: 20240261497
Abstract: An infusion system includes an infusion device, an infusion set, and a sensor assembly. The infusion device includes a syringe including a barrel with an outlet end and a plunger, and a pusher device in engagement with the plunger. The set occludes an infusion line having a first end in communication with the outlet end of the barrel and a second end, and a backpressure regulator disposed between the first end and the second end of the infusion line. The sensor assembly includes a first sensor disposed along the infusion line between the backpressure regulator and the second end of the infusion line. The infusion device also includes a controller coupled to the sensor assembly.

  • Patent number: 7878197
Abstract: A nasal comfort device provides humidified air to the nasal passages of a user. The device, which is attachable to a user's face, may include an evaporative surface and a reservoir that is fluidically connected to the evaporative surface. The reservoir may be positioned remotely from the evaporative surface and connected to the evaporative surface with a conduit. A support structure may include one or more support arms which maintain the evaporative surface below the nose. In some embodiments, the device may filter air instead of, or in addition to, humidifying the air. Medications or other agents may be included in the liquid being evaporated or on the evaporative surface.
