Abstract: A guidewire securement device includes a base and an upper section. The upper section includes an aperture and a slit extending from the aperture a distance toward the base. A split in the upper section allows access to the aperture. At least the upper section is formed from a deformable material that allows for selective widening of the split for gaining greater access to the aperture and slit. A guidewire may be passed through the split and into the aperture to be secured by the device. Further passing the guidewire into the slit allows the device to grip the guidewire and limit longitudinal translation.
