  • Publication number: 20220259895
Abstract: An apparatus can include: a housing configured to form a receiving chamber that is operable to receive an object; first and second paddles disposed at a distal end of the receiving chamber; a constraining bar movably disposed within the housing and configured to translate linearly along a length of the receiving chamber; and a trigger mechanism configured to releasably couple the constraining bar to the housing. When the constraining bar is in a loaded position, the trigger mechanism can be configured to release the constraining bar in response to a proximally-directed force exerted on the constraining bar, causing the constraining bar to translate distally along the length of the receiving chamber.

  • Publication number: 20220241981
Abstract: Certain aspects relate to systems and techniques for preparing a robotic system for surgery. In one aspect, the method includes a robotic arm, a sensor configured to generate information indicative of a location of the robotic arm, a processor, and at least one computer-readable memory in communication with the processor and having stored thereon computer-executable instructions. The instructions are configured to cause the processor to receive the information from the sensor, determine that the robotic arm is located at a first position in which a first axis associated with the robotic arm is not in alignment with a second axis associated with a port installed in a patient, and provide a command to move the robotic arm to a second position in which the first axis associated with the robotic arm is in alignment with the second axis.

  • Patent number: 11371706
Abstract: The premixed pilot nozzle includes axially elongated tubes defined within a plenum between an outer shroud and a first shroud disposed radially inward of the outer shroud. The tubes extend between tube inlets defined through a forward face and tube outlets defined through an aft face. A second shroud is disposed radially inward of the first shroud, thereby defining a fuel plenum between the first shroud and the second shroud, and the fuel plenum is in communication with a gaseous fuel supply. A fuel injection port, which is positioned between the tube inlet and the tube outlet of each tube, is in fluid communication with the fuel plenum. An air supply configured to fluidly communicate with the tube inlet of each tube. The second shroud defines a second plenum therein, the second plenum being coupled to a source of a non-combustible fluid.

  • Patent number: 11358760
Abstract: A straw lid valve assembly includes a cap, a spout, and a valve member. The cap connects with a drinking vessel and includes valve receiving passage. The spout connects with the cap and pivots between a drinking position and a closed position. The spout includes an inner passage that is in fluid communication with the drinking vessel when in the drinking position and is closed off when in the closed position. The valve member is receivable in the cap and includes a drink passage and a vent passage in fluid communication with the drinking vessel when the cap is connected with the drinking vessel and the valve member is received in the cap. The valve member is receivable in the valve receiving passage such that an uppermost surface of the valve member is exposed to ambient when the spout is in the drinking position and the valve member is received in the cap.

  • Publication number: 20220010151
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the use of occluding fluids, such as a high-density fluid (a “z-fluid”) or a low-density fluid (an “a-fluid”), to displace resin within a vat during 3D printing. Further, an a-fluid may act as a protective boundary for a 3D printing resin wherein the a-fluid sits on top of the printing resin. Another embodiment of the disclosure provides a process of assessing which regions of a computer-aided design (CAD) model take advantage of a buoying force supplied by the occluding fluid, such that fewer support structures are needed for printing a final CAD model compared to printing the CAD model without the occluding fluid.
