  • Publication number: 20220138881
Abstract: A system and method are presented. User metadata defining a set of activities undertaken by a user are received by a processor. The processor determines, based on the set of activities, a skill history for the user. The skill history identifies a first plurality of skills associated with the user. The processor determines a preferred career associated with the user, determines, for the preferred career and by accessing a career skill repository, a second plurality of skills associated with the preferred career, determines a missing skill by comparing the first plurality of skills associated with the user to the second plurality of skills associated with the preferred career to identify the missing skill that is in the second plurality of skills and not in the first plurality of skills and outputs a user interface identifying the missing skill.

  • Publication number: 20200346725
Abstract: A rescue device may be provided. According to an exemplary embodiment, the rescue device may have a housing, at least one reflective mirror dispose don the housing, and at least one dye chamber disposed within the housing. The dye chamber may be filled with dye. The rescue device may have a retractable antenna disposed on the housing, wherein the retractable antenna may be capable of transmitting a rescue beacon. The rescue device may have at least one light and the rescue device may be buoyant.

  • Publication number: 20160171412
Abstract: This disclosure relates to scheduling by a processor the supply a consumable liquid to a mobile machine, such as the supply of water to a blasthole drill. The processor receives from the one or more mobile machines status information relative to a machine cycle. The machine cycle comprises one or more first periods where supply of the consumable liquid is preferred. The processor then determines based on the status information the supply schedule to supply the liquid to the one or more machines during their respective one or more first periods. The supply schedule is determined such that the supply schedule reduces the likelihood that any of the one or more mobile machines has an insufficient amount of the consumable liquid available. This method reduces downtime of the mobile machines because liquid is supplied during the preferred periods while reducing the likelihood of running out of liquid.

  • Publication number: 20050199047
Abstract: The invention provides a liquid cell for an atomic force microscope. The liquid cell includes a liquid cell housing with an internal cavity to contain a fluid, a plurality of conductive feedthroughs traversing the liquid cell housing between the internal cavity and a dry side of the liquid cell, a cantilevered probe coupled to the liquid cell housing, and a piezoelectric drive element disposed on the cantilevered probe. The cantilevered probe is actuated when a drive voltage is applied to the piezoelectric drive element through at least one of the conductive feedthroughs. A method of imaging an object in a liquid medium and a method of sensing a target species with the liquid cell are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20050009197
Abstract: The invention provides a method of detecting a chemical species with an oscillating cantilevered probe. A cantilevered beam is driven into oscillation with a drive mechanism coupled to the cantilevered beam. A free end of the oscillating cantilevered beam is tapped against a mechanical stop coupled to a base end of the cantilevered beam. An amplitude of the oscillating cantilevered beam is measured with a sense mechanism coupled to the cantilevered beam. A treated portion of the cantilevered beam is exposed to the chemical species, wherein the cantilevered beam bends when exposed to the chemical species. A second amplitude of the oscillating cantilevered beam is measured, and the chemical species is determined based on the measured amplitudes.
