Patent number: 11951585Abstract: A pole sander is provided including an elongate body having a first end and a second end, an electric motor, and a sanding head attached via a pivot mechanism to the first end of the elongate body. The sanding head includes a hood including a plate and a peripheral wall formed on the underside of the plate around an edge of the plate; an output spindle that projects from the hood and is rotatably driven by the electric motor around a rotational axis; and a brush ring mounted on the underside of the plate adjacent the edge of the plate inside of the peripheral wall. The brush ring is attached to the plate via a spring comprising at least one of a leaf spring or a wave spring.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 2020Date of Patent: April 9, 2024Assignee: Black & Decker Inc.Inventors: Benjamin Schramm, Robert Miebach, Marek Turisin, Joerg Roth

Patent number: 11948375Abstract: The contents of totes and the amount a tote container is filled are monitored. A central database stores product dimensions and tote dimensions as well as a percentage of which a tote is to be filled. Image scanners that obtain three-dimensional images are used to determine if the actual dimensions of the tote, the product, and the fill amount are consistent with the expected or optimal values of these characteristics. When there is a discrepancy between measured and expected values, then one or more actions can be taken.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 2021Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: Walmart Apollo, LLCInventors: James Benjamin Edwards, Paul E. Patent number: 11919127Abstract: A pole sander is provided including an elongate body including a passageway for passage of air, an electric motor, and a sanding head attached via a pivot mechanism to a first end of the elongate body. The sanding head includes a hood including a plate and a sidewall to form a chamber, an output spindle projecting from the hood and rotatably driven by the electric motor, and a tubular passage including a first end forming an opening and a second end coupled to an aperture formed through the plate. A flexible pipe is disposed between the passageway at the first end of the elongate body and the opening of the tubular passage to fluidly connect the passageway to the chamber. The tubular passage is oriented at least partially around a portion of the output spindle in a turning direction of the output spindle and extending angularly from the plate.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 2020Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: Black & Decker Inc.Inventors: Benjamin Schramm, Robert Miebach, Joerg Roth, Felix Kraft, Pablo Garcia Ramiro

Publication number: 20240066114Abstract: The present invention is inter alia directed to compositions comprising at least one nucleic acid encoding at least one antigenic peptide or protein selected or derived from a Coronavirus membrane protein (M), nucleocapsid protein (N), non-structural protein, and/or accessory protein or an immunogenic fragment or immunogenic variant thereof. The composition may additionally comprise at least one nucleic acid encoding at least one antigenic peptide or protein selected or derived from a Coronavirus spike protein (S). The nucleic acid sequences of the compositions are preferably in association with a polymeric carrier, a polycationic protein or peptide, or a lipid nanoparticle (LNP). The compositions provided herein are for use in treatment or prophylaxis of an infection with at least one Coronavirus, and may therefore be comprised in a vaccine, preferably a multivalent vaccine.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2021Publication date: February 29, 2024Applicant: CureVac SEInventors: Susanne RAUCH, Nicole ROTH, Benjamin PETSCH, Wolfgang GROSSE

Publication number: 20220365015Abstract: A multi-analyte sensor device is disclosed. The multi-analyte device is a handheld device that includes a replaceable sensor. In one embodiment, the replaceable sensor includes a plurality of electrodes coated with one or more different molecular imprinted polymer (MIP) coatings for measuring concentrations of target analytes. The replaceable sensor is configured to be attached or detached from the device one or more times.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 17, 2021Publication date: November 17, 2022Inventors: Nicholas Alexander Melosh, Marc Daniel Ferro, Benjamin Roth Lowenstein, Paul Michael Litvak

Publication number: 20220155292Abstract: A multi-analyte sensor includes a body having a proximal end and a distal end. A plurality of strips is connected to one end of the body and a plurality of electrical conductors run through the body and into the plurality of strips. Exposed portions of first and second electrical conductors running through first and second strips are coated with analyte-responsive materials, such as a first molecular imprinted polymer (MIP) and a second MIP, respectively. The first MIP has binding sites for a first target analyte and the second MIP has binding sites for a second target analyte. The multi-analyte sensor may be part of a sensing device that also includes a controller and a data store.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 1, 2022Publication date: May 19, 2022Inventors: Nicholas Alexander Melosh, Marc Daniel Ferro, Benjamin Roth Lowenstein, Paul Michael Litvak

Patent number: 8775155Abstract: A system and method for machine translation are disclosed. Source sentences are received. For each source sentence, a target sentence comprising target words is generated. A plurality of translation neighbors of the target sentence is generated. Phrase alignments are computed between the source sentence and the translation neighbor. Translation neighbors are scored with a translation scoring model, based on the phrase alignment. Translation neighbors are ranked, based on the scores. In training the model, parameters of the model are updated based on an external ranking of the ranked translation neighbors. The generating of translation neighbors, scoring, ranking, and, in the case of training, updating the parameters, are iterated with one of the translation neighbors as the target sentence. In the case of decoding, one of the translation neighbors is output as a translation. The system and method may be at least partially implemented with a computer processor.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2010Date of Patent: July 8, 2014Assignee: Xerox CorporationInventors: Benjamin Roth, Andrew R. McCallum, Marc Dymetman, Nicola Cancedda
