Abstract: A system for continuously treating recycled polystyrene material includes a hopper/densifier configured to feed recycled polystyrene material into the system. An extruder can turn the recycled polystyrene material into a molten material. In some embodiments, the extruder uses thermal fluids, electric heaters, and/or a separate heater. Solvents, such as toluene, xylenes, cymenes, and/or terpinenes can aid in generating the molten material. The molten material can be depolymerized in a reactor and a catalyst can be used to aid the depolymerizing. In certain embodiments, the catalyst is contained in a permeable container. In some embodiments, copolymers/monomers are grafted onto the depolymerized material. The depolymerized molten material can be cooled via a heat exchanger. The product can be isolated by extraction, distillation, and/or separation. In some embodiments, the product is treated through filtration and absorption media. In some embodiments, multiple reactors are used.

Abstract: A method for processing a video stream includes obtaining frame data of a current frame of the video stream, determining frame difference data based on a comparison of the frame data of the current frame and scene cache data for a previous frame of the video stream, the scene cache data being stored in a scene cache for the video stream, determining, based on the frame difference data, regions of the video stream to be re-sampled at a higher resolution than the frame data, obtaining re-sampling data for the determined regions, updating the scene cache data based on the obtained frame data and the re-sampling data, and providing the re-sampling data to a processor to update an analysis scene cache for the video stream.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a pedal assembly that includes a pedal arm configured to move based on a load applied thereon and a housing that includes a first housing member having a first cavity and a pushrod operably connected to the pedal arm and to the first housing member. A first cradle positioned within the first cavity. The first cradle includes a second cavity. A first pair of springs positioned to extend within the second cavity. A second housing member having a third cavity. A second pair of springs positioned to extend within the second cavity and the third cavity. When a first predetermined load is applied to the pedal arm, the pushrod moves which drives the first cradle against the first pair of springs such that at least a compression energy by the first pair of springs generates a first force feedback onto the pedal arm.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for pre-authentication access request screening. A server computer may receive a request for access to a resource comprising access data. The server computer may transmit, to an authentication computer, an authentication request message comprising at least a subset of the access data and receive an authentication response message comprising authentication data. The server computer may determine an access score based on the authentication data. Alternatively, the server computer may determine the access score based on the access data without using/receiving authorization data. The server computer may generate an access indicator based on the access score. The server computer may prepare and transmit an authorization request message comprising the access indicator to an authorization computer. The authorization computer may approve or decline the access to the resource based on the access indicator.

Abstract: Provided is a method for configuring at least one rule, e.g., using a graphical user interface. The method may include displaying a graphical user interface including a polygon having at least three edges and an icon at a first position within the polygon. Each edge of the polygon may be associated with a potential outcome of at least one rule. An input to move the icon to a second position within the polygon may be received. The graphical user interface may be displayed with the icon at the second position within the polygon. A distance from the second position of the icon to each edge of the polygon may be determined. The rule(s) may be adjusted based on the distance from the second position of the icon to each edge of the polygon. A system and computer program product are also disclosed.

Abstract: Techniques managing access rules are provided. Access rules and their associated profiles are determined for evaluation. A triggering rate or a triggering percentage can be used to indicate efficacy of the rule. Recommendations can be provided based on a triggering percentage difference of the rule during a predetermined period of time. The recommendations can be provided in an interactive user interface.

Abstract: A system for presenting a skill-based game, the system includes at least one server to serve a set of matchups of participants of an event, to a plurality of presentation devices, the plurality of presentation devices displaying the set of matchups on a display; to receive over the wide area network data from the presentation devices characterizing a set of user selected winners of the matchups made by the users; update the event data pertinent to participants in the actual events; using the updated data to calculate and assign payoffs to the users based on fixed payoff odds. A related computer-implemented method provides participant matchups to an operator organizing such a skill-based game.

Abstract: Mining machines such as continuous miners and chain haulage units may include chain conveyors that are capable of deflecting laterally in order to travel through lateral turns. The chain conveyors may include flight members for pushing or urging material along a pan. The chain may be driven by one or more sprockets. In one independent aspect, a link for a chain conveyor includes a body including a first end a second end opposite the first end, a first opening proximate the first end and extending in a direction transverse to a direction of travel of the link, a second opening proximate the second end and extending in a direction transverse to the direction of travel of the link, and a relief opening extending through the link body and positioned between the first end and the second end.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system to optimize rule weights for classifying access requests so as to manage rates of false positives and false negative classifications. A rules suggestion engine may suggest a profile of classification rules to a merchant for access requests. The system can optimize weights for the profile of rules using a cost function based on a training set of historical access requests, for example using stepwise regression or machine learning (ML). The system can compute a profile score based on the optimized weights, for example by summing the weights. The system statistically analyzes the profile score using classification thresholds and the historical access requests. The system can perform receiver operating characteristic (ROC) analysis for various threshold values, enabling a user to select a suitable threshold. The system can further optimize by adding or removing rules from the profile of rules.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and circuitries are provided for detecting flame in a fuel oil burner. In one example, a method includes receiving a series of one or more light samples, each indicative of a level of light. When the fuel oil burner is operating in the flame expected mode, the method includes determining whether the values of the one or more of the light samples exceed a flame threshold; determining whether the values of the one or more of the light samples meet secondary criteria; determining that a flame is present when the values of the one or more light samples exceed the flame threshold and meet the secondary criteria; and determining that a flame is not present when the values of the one or more light samples are below the flame threshold or do not meet the secondary criteria.

Abstract: Embodiments are described for a stabilization system configured, in some embodiments, for stabilizing image capture from an aerial vehicle (e.g., a UAV). According to some embodiments, the stabilization systems employs both active and passive stabilization means. A passive stabilization assembly includes a counter-balanced suspension system that includes an elongated arm that extends into and is coupled to the body of a vehicle. The counter-balanced suspension system passively stabilizes a mounted device such as an image capture device to counter motion of the UAV while in use. In some embodiment the counter-balanced suspension system passively stabilizes a mounted image capture assembly that includes active stabilization means (e.g., a motorized gimbal and/or electronic image stabilization). In some embodiments, the active and passive stabilization means operate together to effectively stabilize a mounted image capture device to counter a wide range of motion characteristics.

The packaging article may include a film having at least one layer containing a fluorescence-based indicator. The process may further include exposing the packaged product to incident electromagnetic energy to produce an excited fluorescence-based indicator, such that the excited fluorescence-based indicator emits fluorescent electromagnetic energy; and determining, based on the fluorescent electromagnetic energy emitted by the excited fluorescence-based indicator, that gas is present within the packaging article.

Abstract: Techniques for managing redundant or overlapping access rules are provided. Access rules are determined for evaluation. Performance metrics for the access rules prior to implementation and post implementation are determined. Overlapping access rules are identified. Performance of the overlapping access rules are evaluated to determine actions to be applied to the overlapping access rules. Recommended actions and adjustments can be automatically provided by the system based on the performance analysis.
