Abstract: A safety syringe system including a safety syringe and an injection site preparation patch adapted for use with the safety syringe. The safety syringe includes a syringe body and a safety shield slidably disposed about the syringe body. The injection site preparation patch has a tissue-facing side and a syringe-facing side, and may include a substrate, a syringe adhesive layer adapted to adhere to a distal flange of the safety shield, a hydrogel layer adapted to adhere to tissue, and removable release liners disposed on either side. The patch may include a medicament, anesthetic, or a thermal compound. Adhesion between the patch and the flange is less than adhesion between the patch and tissue, so that the patch adheres to the shield with sufficient strength to enable the shield to slide over the needle upon withdrawal, but with insufficient strength to cause the patch to pull away from a patient's skin.

Abstract: A user is rewarded for actions performed within an entertainment system. Digital content is provided to a client device over a network. Data is then received from the client device over the network. The received data represents an input from a user of the client device in response to the digital content provided to the client device. A value associated with the input from the user is determined. An account balance associated with the user is adjusted by a quantity of credit tokens. The quantity of tokens is determined by the value associated with the input from the user.

Abstract: A media based entertainment service provides user requested media to a user. Video, audio, images and other media may be provided to a user for a fee or free of charge. The media may be provided from the service provider to a client device over a network. When providing media without charge, the media service can incorporate one or more ads into the media. The ads may be targeted to the user, media content, and other features using advertisement parameters. The media service provides for revenue generation associated with the viewing of media files. The media service can generate revenue from advertising, pay-per-view, e-commerce, and other financial transactions associated with the media service while focusing on providing the service on user preferences.

Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying media and associated information are disclosed. A hybrid user interface may include aspects of push and pull interfaces. In some embodiments, media may be characterized by parameters and values for the parameters. Parameters and values may be associated with a user's interests, and a user may identify media by searching for media using one or more preferred values of parameters of interest. In some cases, media are presented to a user. Presented media may share values for parameters associated with the user's interests. Certain embodiments deliver (e.g., play) items of media content.
