  • Publication number: 20240280762
Abstract: A connectorized fiber collimator includes a holder, a bearing, and a fiber collimator. The holder has a frontside, with a planar reference surface, and a backside. An outer circumferential surface of the holder defines a circular reference circumference. The frontside or backside has a recess. A through hole, at the recess, extends from the frontside to the backside. The bearing has a spherical surface seated in the recess. The fiber collimator is seated in a bore through the bearing. Rotation of the bearing in the recess adjusts pointing relative to a longitudinal axis of the connectorized fiber collimator. Lateral dimensions of the fiber collimator are undersized relative to the bore to facilitate offset adjustment relative to the longitudinal axis. Accurate alignment of the connectorized optical-fiber collimator in fiber-to-fiber and fiber-free-space couplings is achieved through mechanical registration of the planar reference surface and the circular reference circumference.

  • Publication number: 20110040219
Abstract: An apparatus for massaging and aligning a spine is presented. The apparatus includes a base element, a pair of roller assemblies, a center roller assembly, a pair of hand bars, and a seat. The base element supports the apparatus along a surface. Each roller assembly includes an extendable arm and a plurality of rollers. The extendable arm is attached at one end to the base element so as to allow angular adjustment to the roller assembly with respect to the base element. The extendable arm is attached at a second end to the rollers so as to allow angular adjustment of the rollers with respect to the extendable arm. The center roller assembly is disposed between the roller assemblies and includes a second extendable arm and a pair of contoured rollers. The second extendable arm is attached at one end to the base element and at another end to the contoured rollers. The hand bars are attached to the second extendable arm and slide thereon so as to adjust the height of said bars.

  • Publication number: 20060293214
Abstract: Aqueous dilutions of acidic ternary compositions having unusually synergistic antimicrobial activity against Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella choleraesuis microorganisms are disclosed. The compositions encompass ternary component mixtures of an alpha-hydroxycarboxylic acid, a monohydric water soluble alkanol and an anionic tenside having a Ternary Ratio residing within a defined phase region wherein synergistic antimicrobial activity is observed; whereas mixtures outside of the defined phase region and those lacking any one of the components do not exhibit synergistic activity. Compositions, methods and articles employing the inventive ternary synergistic compositions, and their utility in sanitizing and disinfecting hard surfaces are described.
