  • Publication number: 20240374008
Abstract: A hair curler is provided and can include a cap having a central opening and a shield arranged around the central opening. The hair curler can also include a base having an annular collar with a central opening therein and a flange extending radially from the annular collar. The flange can be configured to mate with the shield such that the base and the cap enclose the entrapment area and such that the central opening in the cap can be aligned with the central opening in the base. Related styling assemblies and methods of use are also provided.

  • Patent number: 10948943
Abstract: A case for a laptop computer, the case comprising upper and lower shells which are entirely separate from one another. Each shell comprises an outer layer of a first injection moulded polymer and an inner liner of a second injection moulded polymer softer than the first. Each shell defines a cavity having a back surface and upstanding side walls, the cavity being arranged to receive, in use, one half of the laptop computer. The second polymer comprises a plurality of inwardly extending clips which protrude across the cavity from an edge of the side wall furthest from the back surface to, in use, retain the shell on the laptop half.

  • Patent number: 10925366
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a case for a mobile device with a screen, includes using a band having a layer of flexible polymer as an insert mold or in a dual injection process, for applying discrete discontinuous and unconnected damping material on the layer of the flexible polymer of the band. The damping material is softer than the flexible polymer and has a plurality of integrally formed protrusions projecting inwardly from a substantial portion of the inner periphery of the band to engage with the mobile device. The protrusions are arranged such that, in use there is substantially no contact between the band and the device other than through the protrusions.

  • Patent number: 10760579
Abstract: A ventilation assembly includes a main housing comprising a first housing wall and a second housing wall, a fan assembly disposed within the main housing, the fan assembly including a fan, and an acoustic device disposed between said first and second housing walls, the acoustic device having a first distal portion, a second distal portion and an intermediate portion extending between the first distal portion and the second distal portion, the first distal portion being relatively wider than the intermediate portion.

  • Patent number: 10741345
Abstract: A humidity monitoring system mountable to a wall has a housing for receiving a humidity sensor. A face plate having an extended portion can be mounted over the housing such that the extend portion is positioned adjacent to the humidity sensor. The extended portion defining a secondary space within which humid air can be pass proximate to the humidity sensor to improve the monitoring of the ambient humid air.

  • Patent number: 10694630
Abstract: A case for a mobile communications device includes a main body and a cover. The main body defines a cavity to receive the device. The cover includes a cover portion selectively covering the cavity and a connection portion to connect the cover portion to the main body. The cover portion is formed, at least partially, of a flexible sheet. A free edge of the cover portion adjacent to the side wall opposite the connection portion is provided with a tab which is an extension of the flexible sheet material forming a cover portion. A stud fastener is fixed to the tab. Either the top, bottom or one of the side walls of the main body has an opening. When the cover portion is in its closed position, the tab moves so that the stud enters the opening and is resiliently deformed to hold the stud in the opening.

  • Patent number: 10542803
Abstract: A case for a mobile device with a screen. The case comprises a band arranged to surround the edge of the device. The band comprises an outer layer of a flexible polymer, an inner layer of damping material and an intermediate layer of a dissipation material between the inner and outer layers. The intermediate layer is the hardest of three layers and the inner layer is the softest.

  • Patent number: 10542801
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a case for a mobile electronic device is provided for cases having a generally rectangular shape, two long side walls extending substantially parallel to another, and two short end walls extending substantially parallel to one another between the long side walls. The method includes molding a case portion of a first material of a first hardness forming a substantial portion of the side walls and end walls, and a second material of a second hardness extending around the inner periphery of the first material wherein the first hardness is greater than the second hardness, presenting a strip to an outer periphery of the case portion, applying heat and pressure to a backing layer, and removing the backing strip from which the foil has been removed. The present method is advantageous in that it provides a case with a durable and chemically resistive finish.

  • Patent number: 10524551
Abstract: A case for a mobile device with a screen, the case comprising a band arranged to surround the edge of the device. The band comprises a layer of flexible polymer and a layer of a damping material which is softer than the flexible polymer provided within the flexible polymer layer. The damping material has a plurality of integrally formed protrusions projecting inwardly protrusions projecting inwardly from a substantial portion of the inner periphery of the band to engage with the device. The protrusions are provided at least in the corner regions of the case and the protrusions are arranged such that, in normal use there is substantially no contact between the band and the device other than through the protrusions.
