    Abstract: In a method of treating hypertension in individuals suffering therefrom, the method includes administering to said individuals an effective amount of carnitine and an effective amount of lipoic acid. A method of treating hypertension in individuals suffering therefrom includes administering twice a day a combination of 500 mg carnitine, 200 mg lipoic acid and optionally 100 micrograms of biotin. A method of treating hypertension in individuals with systolic blood pressure above about 135 mmHg includes administering a combination of carnitine, lipoic acid and optionally biotin.
