  • Patent number: 11810542
Abstract: An acoustic shield system is described that is suitable for musical performances. In one example, a side wall is configured to surround a portion of an edge of a cymbal opposite a percussionist to reflect sound back toward the cymbal and toward the percussionist. The side wall has a top edge above the cymbal and a bottom edge below the cymbal. A substantially flat top plate is attached to the top edge of the side wall and extends from the side wall over and across the center of the cymbal. A substantially flat bottom plate is attached to the bottom edge of the side wall and extends from the side wall under and across the center of the cymbal. The bottom plate is parallel to the top plate. The bottom plate and the top plate are spaced to accommodate regular movement of the cymbal when struck.

  • Patent number: 11295716
Abstract: An acoustic damper system is described that is suitable for musical performances. In one example, a musical instrument is carried on a stand. A fixture is configured to be attached to the musical instrument stand and one or more fingers extend away from the fixture and the musical instrument stand to contact the musical instrument, such as a cymbal. An acoustic shield can also be attached to the musical instrument stand that has a side wall surrounding a portion of the edge of the musical instrument to reflect sound back toward the musical instrument.

  • Patent number: 11080443
Abstract: A system and method to perform physical synthesis to transition a logic design to a physical layout of an integrated circuit include obtaining an initial netlist that indicates all components of the integrated circuit including memory elements and edges that interconnect the components. The method also includes generating a graph with at least one of the memory elements and the edges carrying one or more signals to the at least one of the memory elements or from the at least one of the memory elements. The components other than memory elements are not indicated individually on the graph. The netlist is updated based on the graph.

  • Patent number: 9792320
Abstract: Systems and methods of maintaining a horizontally scaled database based on data ownership for a cloud-based platform (e.g., cloud-based collaboration and/or storage platform/service) are disclosed. The system database comprises multiple shard databases, and all files and folders owned by a user are stored on a single shard database. When a user transfers ownership of a file and/or a folder to a second user, the transferred file and/or folder is stored on the shard database that stores all of the data for the second user.

  • Patent number: 9015601
Abstract: Systems and methods of batch uploading of content to a web-based collaboration environment are disclosed. In one aspect, embodiments of the present disclosure include a method, which may be implemented on a system, for receiving an upload request from a user through a user interface to upload multiple items and sequentially uploading each of the multiple items to the host server. In one embodiment, the user is able to navigate away from the user interface through which the upload request was submitted prior to completion of the uploading of each of the multiple items to the host server. In addition, the upload of the multiple items is not interrupted if the user accesses a link on the user interface causing another user interface to launch in a browser.
