  • Patent number: 11980385
Abstract: A flexible drive shaft assembly is provided for an intravascular medical device, for example and without limitation, a blood pump, a rotational atherectomy device, or a rotational thrombectomy device. The blood pump embodiment provides an electric motor and a rotational impeller, with a rotational drive shaft disposed therebetween and configured to rotationally drive the impeller. The drive shaft is moved from an undeformed length to a deformed length when connected between the electric motor and the rotational impeller to provide a biasing force on the rotational impeller in the proximal direction to maintain the impeller in a desired axial or linear location. In other embodiments, drive shaft comprises a proximal section with a length and a spring constant and a distal section of relatively longer length and a relatively higher spring constant. In other embodiments, hypotube(s) and/or support mandrel(s) may be provided.

  • Patent number: 8946602
Abstract: An oven includes an oven chamber having a cavity at least partially defined by a door, a pair of side walls, and a rear wall; a baffle extending lengthwise between the pair of side walls, the baffle having an arcuate shape along at least a portion of its length; a heating element located between the baffle and the rear wall; and a first tangential fan configured to direct air over the heating element and through the baffle. The distance between the baffle and the rear wall is greater near the sidewalls than at the midpoint between the side walls.

  • Patent number: 7423241
Abstract: The oven includes an oven chamber and a heating element. The oven chamber includes a cavity defined by a door and a plurality of walls which include a first wall, and a heating element assembly located adjacent the first wall and configured to provide heat energy to the cavity. The heating element assembly includes a heating element and a shield located between the heating element and the first wall of the oven chamber. The heating element transfers heat energy to the shield and the surrounding air, which transfers the heat energy to the first wall.
