  • Publication number: 20220289526
Abstract: Described is a method for lifting an object from a vessel deck. A hoisting means present on the vessel deck is provided with a hoisting cable to which an attaching means for the object is coupled. The object is connected to the attaching means and then taken up and displaced relative to the vessel deck using the attaching means. The swinging movements of the attaching means and of the object connected thereto, occurring under the influence of wave and wind forces, are damped during displacement by a gyroscope which is connected to the hoisting cable, attaching means and/or object and which includes a rotation-symmetrical body rotating around a primary rotation axis.

  • Patent number: 9557358
Abstract: Embodiments of this invention include a test and measurement instrument and associated methods for acquiring and stitching wide overlapped non-uniform frequency bands so that a user specified band can be efficiently displayed and analyzed. The test and measurement instrument includes a user interface to receive the user specified frequency span. Acquisition circuitry acquires one or more predefined frequency bands having non-uniform overlapping frequency ranges. A frequency band processing section can decimate the acquired frequency bands, mask the acquired frequency bands, and stitch the masked frequency bands together. A display section displays the user specified frequency span using the stitched frequency bands. Due to the overlap configuration of the wide non-uniform bands, any user specified span between 50 kHz and 6 GHz, or thereabout, can be covered by two bands.

  • Patent number: 8345956
Abstract: Two-dimensional (2D) video is converted into multi-view video. The 2D video is segmented to generate a temporally consistent segmented 2D video which is made up of a sequence of segmented frames. The multi-view video is generated by employing user-guided operations to generate depth assignments for the segments associated with user-assigned regions of the segmented frames, where a user-assigned region is formed from a group of contiguous segments selected by the user.
