    Abstract: A pipeline management service improves the operation of a processing pipeline by monitoring the operation of one or more journal services within the processing pipeline, and adjusting operational parameters of the one or more journal services. In various examples, the pipeline management service determines a model of the processing pipeline by identifying the producers and consumers associated with each of the one or more journal services, and determines a processing flow through the one or more journal services based at least in part on the identities of the associated producers and consumers. The pipeline management service acquires backlog information from each of the one or more journal services, and may adjust the operational parameters of a journal service associated with an identified processing bottleneck. In some examples, the pipeline management service adjusts capacity and reliability parameters of the one or more journal services to improve the operation of the processing pipeline.

    Abstract: A thermostat for controlling an HVAC system includes wiring terminals adapted and configured to make an electrical connection with an HVAC system wires such as common, heating and cooling control and return wires. The making of the connection with a common wire actuates switching open a loop of an electrical circuit used for power harvesting. The wiring terminal includes actuation of a moveable part of the terminal so as to accommodate the common wire that in turn actuates the switching open the power harvesting loop. More than one other loop can be switched. The wiring terminal can be used to automatically connect and/or disconnect Rc and Rh circuits when one or both Rc and Rh wires are present. The wiring terminal can be used for electronically sensing the presence of the HVAC system wire.

The first sealing rib is first sealing rib dimensioned to seal against a first speaker basket and the second sealing rib dimensioned to seal against a second speaker basket that is smaller than the first speaker basket. A plate closes the fixed housing and includes a cylindrical portion extending partially within the fixed housing. A parking piston and a service piston are employed to act against a brake stack which includes a plurality of stators and rotors interleaved together. A wear adjuster is press-fit onto the cylindrical portion of the plate and engages the service piston during actuation of the service piston and compensates for wear of friction material from the rotors or stators such that the distance between the service piston and the brake stack is substantially the same during the life of the brake mechanism. If neither the service piston nor the parking piston engage the brake stack prohibiting rotation of the input drive, the planetary gear set drives the rotating output drive with respect to the fixed housing.
