  • Publication number: 20250026994
Abstract: An integrated facility to produce either renewable diesel fuel or sustainable aviation fuel, or both renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel from carbon dioxide including carbon dioxide that is a byproduct of reacting Hydroprocessed Esters and Fatty Acids (HEFA) and hydrogen that produces renewable fuels. HEFA is hydroprocessed to produce a liquid fuel product and may produce water, CO and water, or CO2. Integrated with an eFuels process that produces the hydrogen that is needed in various steps of the integrated process. Renewable or low carbon electricity is used to convert water to hydrogen and oxygen in an electrolyzer. Carbon dioxide is reacted with at least a portion of the hydrogen to produce a stream comprising carbon monoxide with a carbon dioxide conversion per pass of between 50% to 100%, preferably between 60% and 100%, and more preferably between 70% and 100%.

  • Publication number: 20250019606
Abstract: An integrated process and system with processes configured to generate liquid fuels, electricity, and heat from carbonaceous fuel sources. The preferred system combines and maximizes the carbon and energy conversion potential and efficiency of the associated components or subsystems to produce a system for the co-production of fuels and electricity from syngas. The process can produce liquid fuels and electricity from carbonaceous feedstock at net thermal energy efficiencies of greater than 40-50%, which are significantly higher than fuel synthesis or electricity generation alone.

  • Publication number: 20240425432
Abstract: The present invention relates to a low-carbon eNaphtha. The low-carbon eNaphtha is produced through an electrofuel production process that utilizes a combination of CO2 and low carbon hydrogen. This invention addresses the need for environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional fossil fuel-based materials by providing a low-carbon eNaphtha solution. The disclosed low-carbon eNaphtha offers reduced greenhouse gas emissions and serves as a versatile resource for various applications. Its potential uses include but are not limited to fuel for transportation and energy generation, as well as a feedstock for the production of plastic precursors and other chemical compounds. The low-carbon eNaphtha represents a significant step towards achieving a sustainable and low-carbon future.

  • Patent number: 12117384
Abstract: A method for modeling light transport through a scattering medium prior to being incident on a detector and a corresponding system is disclosed. The method determines the effects of scattering and absorption caused by particles as a function of the density, size, and refractive index of the particles, as well as the wavelength of the light source. Based on the determined scattering and absorption coefficients, the signal incident on the detector may be calculated. The calculation may also be inverted such that based upon the detected signal, an object may be detected, and its location in the scattering medium may be estimated.

  • Patent number: 7773730
Abstract: A voice record integrator receives information to be acknowledged by a user such as a statement of facts, an electronic document, or other record. The system creates a document identifier that may be used to identify the information being acknowledged and uses the document identifier to present a voice script for the user to read. The system records the user reading the voice script and creates a voice record. The voice record may be stored and later used to verify the user's acknowledgement of the statement of facts, electronic document, or other record.
