  • Publication number: 20260044731
Abstract: Systems and methods for matching individuals with each other are disclosed herein. In an embodiment, a method of matching individuals with each other includes creating a profile pair using a plurality of inputs from a first user regarding input characteristic preferences and the plurality of inputs from second user regarding input characteristics, receiving positive or negative selections regarding the profile pair from a plurality of third party users, training the pairing algorithm using the positive or negative selections, and using the trained pairing algorithm to reduce the plurality of pairs in the database.

  • Patent number: 12126500
Abstract: System communications tailored to individual users may be dynamically provided based on monitored types of user activity in a virtual space. A given system communication may include one or more of a third-party advertisement, an offer for in-space products, an offer in-space services, an informative message, and/or other system communications. Monitored types of user activity include registering as a user, establishing a relationship with another user, and customizing a user character. Responsive to such activity, information is obtained regarding an amount of real-world money the user has spent and the total time spent by the user during gameplay. This information is used to select system communications. System communications may be provided for presentation to users via one or more communication channels.

  • Publication number: 20210250247
Abstract: System communications tailored to individual users may be dynamically provided responsive to trigger events in a virtual space. A given system communication may include one or more of a third-party advertisement, an offer for in-space products, an offer in-space services, an informative message, and/or other system communications. Trigger events may include specific user actions defined as trigger events. Current states may be obtained responsive to trigger events occurring within the virtual space. A given current state may include (1) information associated with the virtual space at a given moment, (2) information associated with a user character at a given moment, and/or (3) information associated with a user at a given moment. It may be determined whether individual current states correspond to one or more of a plurality of system communications. System communications may be provided for presentation to users via one or more communication channels.

  • Patent number: 10992545
Abstract: System communications tailored to individual users may be dynamically provided responsive to occurrences of specific activity in a virtual space. A given system communication may include one or more of a third-party advertisement, an offer for in-space products, an offer in-space services, an informative message, and/or other system communications. Specific activity may include (1) a user registers as a user in the virtual space, (2) a user establishes a relationship with another user and/or character in the virtual space, and/or (3) a user customizes a user character that is associated with the user. Current states may be obtained responsive to specific activity by a user. The system may determine whether individual current states correspond to one or more of a plurality of system communications. System communications may be provided for presentation to users via one or more communication channels.

  • Patent number: 10171385
Abstract: System communications tailored to individual users may be dynamically provided responsive to trigger events in a virtual space. System communications may be sent if (1) triggered by trigger events in the virtual space, and (2) selected based on user state that is separate and discrete from the trigger events. Trigger events may include specific user actions, such as registering as a user in the virtual space. Current states may be obtained responsive to trigger events occurring. A given current state may include (1) a frequency of engagement by the first user in the virtual space, (2) an amount of real-world money spent toward the virtual space, and/or (3) total time spent by a user while engaged in gameplay in the virtual space. An individual system communication is selected and provided for presentation to a user responsive to an individual current state corresponding to the individual system communication.

  • Patent number: 8992330
Abstract: The disclosure relates to systems and methods for facilitating data model substitution related to one or more pre-existing data objects in an expression of a game environment. A system may facilitate scalable addition of new game content by leveraging pre-existing data objects at a client computing platform. The system may include a game server that provides to the client computing platform data model substitutions for the existing data objects. The data model substitutions may be used to alter the behavior or function, look (e.g., visual appearance), description, and/or other characteristic of an expression of a pre-existing data object. Thus, by leveraging pre-existing data objects and providing such data model substitutions, new content or at least the appearance of new content from the user's perspective, may be provided without revising client code or requiring downloading new instructions that encode new data objects.

  • Publication number: 20060028338
Abstract: An asset securing and tracking system (30) operates in conjunction with a wireless communication network (65) for tracking a portable asset (35). The system (30) includes a tracking device (31) adapted to be attached to the portable asset (35) and communicate with the wireless communication network (65). The tracking device (31) determines the location of the asset (35) using signals from GPS satellites (55) and the terrestrial wireless communication network (65). A monitoring station (32) receives and processes a location signal regarding the geographic location of the portable asset (35) from tracking device (31) via the wireless communication network (65).
