  • Publication number: 20230232892
Abstract: An article for use in a non-combustible aerosol provision system includes an aerosol-generating component circumscribed by a first wrapping material including a cellulose based material. The cellulose based material can have a basis weight greater than about 40 grams per square metre. There is also described a rod of aerosol-generating material having a length of less than 30 mm and wrapped in a first wrapping material and an outer wrapping material which extends at least partially over the rod of aerosol-generating material. There is also described a rod of aerosol-generating material wrapped in a first wrapping material and an outer wrapping material which extends over the rod of aerosol-generating material by a distance of between about 30% and 80% of the length of the rod of aerosol-generating material. A non-combustible aerosol provision system is also described.

  • Publication number: 20230225420
Abstract: An aerosol generating device for generating aerosol from an aerosol generating material is disclosed. The aerosol generating device includes a first heating unit and a second heating unit both arranged to heat, but not burn, an aerosol generating material in use. A controller is arranged to control the first and second heating units wherein during the course of a session the controller is arranged to set the first heating unit: (i) a target operating temperature T1 during a time period t1-t2; (ii) a target operating temperature T2 during a time period t2-t3; (iii) a target operating temperature T3 during a time period t3-t6; and (iv) a target operating temperature T4 during a time period t6-t7; wherein temperature T1>T2>T3>T4 and time t0<t1<t2<t3<t4<t5<t6<t7.

  • Publication number: 20230217989
Abstract: An article for use in a non-combustible aerosol provision system includes an aerosol-generating section with a plurality of strands and/or strips of aerosol-generating material. The aerosol-generating section is circumscribed by a moisture impermeable wrapper and a cooling section is provided directly adjacent to the aerosol-generating section. The cooling section can have at least one of a hollow channel having an internal diameter of between about 1 mm and about 4 mm or a maximum of 32% of the cross-sectional area of the cooling section being a hollow channel. A non-combustible aerosol provision system is also described.

  • Publication number: 20230098358
Abstract: Provided herein is an aerosol-generating device for generating aerosol from an aerosol-generating material. The aerosol-generating device comprises a heating assembly including one or more heating units arranged to heat, but not burn, the aerosol-generating material 202 in use and a controller for controlling the one or more heating units. The controller is programmed such that, during a session of use, at least one of the one or more heating units is powered so as to be heated to a plurality of different temperatures sequentially, and each time that the heating unit is heated to a new temperature which is higher than a previous temperature the new temperature is less than 120° C. greater than the previous temperature and the heating unit is held at the new temperature for at least 0.5 seconds.
