Abstract: A request for modification of a structured representation of properties is received, wherein the modification comprises one of adding a specific property to the structured representation of properties, removing a specific property from the structured representation of properties, and changing a specific property in the structured representation of properties. Based on an ontology for the structured representation of properties, it is determined where the specific property has to be added to, removed from or changed in the structured representation of properties to satisfy the request.

Abstract: A communications system includes an information source and a terminal. The information source is capable of transferring information including a variable-string URL that comprises at least one variable string. The terminal, which is adapted to communicate via a communications network, is capable of receiving information including the variable-string URL from the information source. The terminal can then interpret the variable strings into associated requests for information, and thereafter request the information locally at the terminal. Then, the terminal can receive a response to the request for information, and reformat the variable-string URL to incorporate the response to the request for information to thereby generate a dynamic URL such that the response to the request for information can be transmitted.

Abstract: A wireless telephone handset sends commands over a data network, and places voice calls over a telephone network, to a message storage system. The commands include information that enables the message storage system to identify the handset and correlate the voice calls with their corresponding commands. The message storage system can then execute the commands by playing or recording voice signals over the voice channels provided by the voice calls.
