  • Publication number: 20220046851
Abstract: A control system for use on a peanut harvester using a conveyor to elevate and relocate the peanut pods and attached plant material. The control system inputs the ground speed in the direction of travel and the conveyor speed, and outputs to an electronic flow control valve that is part of a hydraulic circuit between a hydraulic motor that drives the conveyor and a connection point that provides hydraulic power to the hydraulic motor. The control system uses an algorithm that compares the ground speed and the conveyor speed and varies the output to the flow control valve so that the conveyor speed is maintained at a defined percentage of ground speed. The defined percentage of ground speed is a user-controlled variable that can be adjusted on the go through the user interface portion of the control system.

  • Patent number: 10980163
Abstract: A stalk puller to be used with or without a mower/shredder utilizes a pair of independently mounted discs converging along their lower edge to grasp and pull stalks from the ground as the stalk puller is moved down the row by a prime mover. At least one of the discs is urged against the other by a spring such that the associated disc may allow rocks and debris to pass between the discs without damage. The spring mounting reduces adjustments due to normal wear as well as damage from debris.

  • Publication number: 20180249634
Abstract: A harvester lifts plant material and usable product off the ground using a header to create one or more distinct ribbons of material which are each fed axially into the front of rotating foraminous drums carrying stripper springs and within which a rotor with threshing springs and a screw conveyor on its outer surface is cooperatively mounted. The usable product thus separated from the plant material exits the foraminous drums to be collected and conveyed to the cleaning portion of the harvester. The product and foreign material are mechanically sized using a series of rollers and an air stream separates the product for subsequent trimming of stems therefrom. The product is then deposited on a sizing conveyor further separation and weighing.

  • Publication number: 20140262385
Abstract: A coulter disc for use in an agricultural implement is divided into a plurality of segments each having an arcuate pattern of bolt holes offset by a radius r from a displaced center such that material removed in dividing said coulter is accounted for when the disc is reassembled on an implement.
