Patent number: 11970100Abstract: A table device for an interior of a vehicle includes a table element that is positionable from a non-use position into a use position. The table element, secured to a pivot arm in the non-use position, forms a trim element of a center console of the vehicle. The pivot arm is secured to a frame element and the frame element is guided by a guide element through a predefined movement path. The frame element is liftable by a first drive unit through the predefined movement path such that the table element pivots out in part, through a predefined angle, from a housing formed by the center console. The table element is liftable by a second drive unit into the use position.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2020Date of Patent: April 30, 2024Assignee: Daimler AGInventors: Valentin Maier, Christoph Menzel, Bernd Plocher, Benno Stamp

Publication number: 20220363178Abstract: A table device for an interior of a vehicle includes a table element that is positionable between a non-use position and a use position where the table element is disposable in a region of an instrument panel of a front passenger of the vehicle. An underside of the table element, in an installed position of the table element in the interior of the vehicle, faces a front passenger seat of the vehicle in the non-use position. The underside of the table element has a tear-resistant microsandwich material. The tear-resistant microsandwich material has a tear-resistant surface and a core that fails in a targeted manner.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 25, 2020Publication date: November 17, 2022Inventors: Georgios MPAKARIS, Benno STAMP

Patent number: 10336011Abstract: A method for producing a sandwich component, in particular an inner trim component for a motor vehicle, is disclosed. The method begins with a core layer made from a foamed plastic and a cover layer which includes reinforcing fibers and plastic fibers. The plastic of the core layer has a first melting temperature which is higher than the second melting temperature of the plastic fibers of the cover layer. By the core layer being arranged on the cover layer, a multilayer composite is created. This multilayer composite can be further processed into a semi-finished product. The multilayer composite or the semi-finished product is then heated in a heating device to a temperature which is lower than the first melting temperature but therefore higher than the second melting temperature. Then the heated multilayer composite or the semi-finished product is formed in a forming tool in order to produce the sandwich component.Type: GrantFiled: December 16, 2014Date of Patent: July 2, 2019Assignee: Daimler AGInventors: Hubert Bieder, Tobias Blumenstock, Benno Stamp, Roman Wittig

Patent number: 9662854Abstract: A sandwich component (10) having a honeycomb core layer (4) and at least one fiber-reinforced thermoplastic outer layer (3) and the corresponding production method. The outer layer (3) is connected to the honeycomb core layer (4) by a thermoplastic material. At least one side of the sandwich component (10 has a decorative layer (1,1?), which is arranged on the outer layer (3). The sandwich component (10) furthermore has at least one foam layer (2), which is arranged between the outer layer (3) and the decorative layer (1,1?), and which is connected to the outer layer (3) and the decorative layer (1,1?).Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 2012Date of Patent: May 30, 2017Assignee: Daimler AGInventors: Benno Stamp, Tobias Blumenstock, Roman Wittig
