  • Patent number: 4726304
Abstract: A seed drill has a frame, reservoirs, sowing shares, at least two separate inlets and outlets for two different materials, and a depth-guide or pressure roller behind each sowing share. Variable amounts of one material are conveyed to the forward outlet and of the other material to the rear outlet through separate conductors inside the sowing shares for application of the soil. The outlets are separated along the direction of travel. There is a narrow ripping structure on the forward edge of each sowing share to rip up the soil and produce a furrow. An expansion structure that extends down into the furrow is positioned in the vicinity of the rear outlet of each sowing share. The expansion structure is at least somewhat wider than the ripping structure. The bottom end of the expansion structure is higher than the bottom of the point of the ripping structure.

  • Patent number: 4694759
Abstract: A seed drill for applying seed and/or fertilizer has a frame, reservoir, and sowing shares. The sowing shares are attached to the frame in such a way that they can move in an upright plane by means of superimposed and at least approximately parallel struts on parallelogram mounts. To essentially improve the share mounts, allowing them to be employed on direct-sowing seed drills and especially on soils thickly set with entrenched stones or other obstacles and preventing damage to the shares or share mounts when the shares are laterally overstressed, at least one strut on a parallelogram mount is elastic.

  • Patent number: 4603645
Abstract: A seeder with sowing shares and with two separate inlets and two separate outlets for the various materials like seed and fertilizer that are to be applied. The different materials can always be conveyed as desired to one or another inlet or outlet from a reservoir on the seeder through supply hoses. Guide mechanisms for diverting the supply of materials to the separate outlets of the shares are located between the reservoirs and the outlets.

  • Patent number: 4580507
Abstract: A drill for applying seed and fertilizer, with a frame, reservoirs, sowing shares with at least two separate inlets for seed and fertilizer, and a depth-adjustment or pressure roller mounted behind each share, in which the materials to be applied are conveyed in controlled amounts to the shares for application into the soil, in which the shares are connected to the frame with parallelogrammatic mounts and the depth to which the penetrate into the soil can be adjusted by means of a setting device. The drill can be used for zero tillage even on rocky soil to apply seed and fertilizer separately because the sowing share is a chisel share on which a chisel is mounted on the side facing the direction of travel. The chisel share has separate guides for seed and fertilizer inside its body. The outlets for these guides are separated in the direction of travel by a certain distance with the first outlet positioned as close as possible behind the chisel point.

  • Patent number: 4422392
Abstract: A seed drill has rotatably mounted opener discs disposed in an acute angle with respect to the direction of travel and mounted on supports. A skid is mounted to each support at the outside surface of the disk at an angle with respect to the direction of travel. Each skid includes a trailing portion configured to have a sliding surface disposed above the depth of penetration of the disk in the ground and a leading portion bent upwardly in the direction of travel and having a recess in the side thereof facing the disk and which extends beyond the forwardmost portion of the disk in the direction of travel.

  • Patent number: 4208974
Abstract: A seed drill (FIG. 1 ) having a frame (1 ) with knife hoes (7 ) mounted thereon. The knife hoes are movable in a vertical plane and each has two laterally projecting wings (8 ) bent downwardly toward one another; the outer edges of the wings merge forwardly together to form a point. Each knife hoe has an upright strut (13 ) supporting the leading point of the knife. Further, each knife hoe is disposed on a shank (9 ) which is mounted on the frame with parallel guide means (10 ). The parallel guide means has at least one articulation (19 ) acting in a vertical plane, a stop (21 ) limiting forward swinging movement of the knife hoe about the articulation, and at least one resilient element (22 ) exerting a force on the knife hoe in the direction of the stop. The drill further includes a gauge wheel (16 ) for each knife hoe to limit the depth of penetration of the knife hoe into the soil.
