Patent number: 9484726Abstract: A fluid-tight line feedthrough for introducing an electric conductor into a high-pressure chamber includes a housing and an electric conductor that passes through the housing. A ceramic insulator is positioned between the housing and the electric conductor. The ceramic insulator is divided into a first insulator segment facing the electric conductor and a second insulator segment facing the housing, thereby forming a conical separating plane. A fitting made of an electrically conductive material is positioned between the two segments, the fitting being connected to the two segments and to the housing.Type: GrantFiled: November 25, 2013Date of Patent: November 1, 2016Assignee: MAN Diesel & Turbo SEInventors: Marcel Vetter, Benno Zigerlig, Daniel Frehner

Patent number: 9180574Abstract: In a method for producing a base body with hard material particles, an adhesive is first of all applied with a defined film thickness to the entire or parts of the working surface of the tool to be produced. Next, the hard material particles are applied to the regions of the working surface provided with the adhesive for lasting adhesion. Hard material particles are applied evenly by an apparatus and are then transferred to the working surface of the tool to be produced provided with the adhesive, on which they remain adhered before the adhesive has hardened. This method enables rapid coating of the working surface of the tool with a predeterminable uniform number of detached hard material particles per unit of area.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 2012Date of Patent: November 10, 2015Assignee: Reishauer AGInventors: Sherline Wunder, Christoph Rudolf, Benno Zigerlig, Friedrich Kuster

Publication number: 20140126702Abstract: An X-ray emitter is suitable for evenly sterilizing large volumes of material in a short time, the emitter having an elongated X-ray target window and correspondingly elongated electron source mounted in a vacuum chamber. The electrons from the electron source are accelerated towards the X-ray target window, which generates X-rays directed outward from the vacuum chamber when irradiated by electrons from within the vacuum chamber. The elongated form of the electron source ensures that an evenly distributed beam of electrons, with a substantially constant linear distribution over the length of the electron source, arrives at the elongated X-ray target window such that a correspondingly even distribution of X-rays is generated from the X-ray target window. The X-ray target window includes a support substrate, and carries an X-ray target layer made of a target material such as tantalum or tungsten on its inner surface. A process for manufacturing the X-ray emitter is also described.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 8, 2011Publication date: May 8, 2014Applicant: COMET HOLDING AGInventors: Werner Haag, Toni Waber, Hans-Rudolf Elsener, Benno Zigerlig, Dominique Cloetta, Urs Hostettler

Publication number: 20120240475Abstract: In a method for producing a base body with hard material particles, an adhesive (23) is first of all applied with a defined film thickness to the entire or parts of the working surface (20?) of the tool to be produced. Next, the hard material particles (22) are applied to the regions of the working surface provided with the adhesive (23) for lasting adhesion. Hard material particles (22) are applied evenly by means of an apparatus and are then transferred to the working surface (20?) of the tool (20) to be produced provided with the adhesive (23), on which they remain adhered before the adhesive (23) has hardened. This method enables rapid coating of the working surface of the tool with a predeterminable uniform number of detached hard material particles per unit of area.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 16, 2012Publication date: September 27, 2012Applicant: REISHAUER AGInventors: SHERLINE WUNDER, CHRISTOPH RUDOLF, Benno ZIGERLIG, Friedrich KUSTER

Patent number: 7592613Abstract: A sensor is adapted to sense the intensity of an electron beam generated by an electron beam generator and exited from the generator through an exit window along a path towards a target within a target area. The sensor comprises at least one area of at least one conductive layer located within the path and connected to a current detector. The area, or areas, of the at least one conductive layer are shielded from the surrounding environment and from the exit window (and from one another when there are more than one area) by a shield. The shield is formed on the exit window. The sensor forms a part of a sensing system.Type: GrantFiled: June 14, 2007Date of Patent: September 22, 2009Assignee: Tetra Laval Holdings & Finance S.A.Inventors: Anders Kristiansson, Lars Åke Näslund, Hans Hallstadius, Werner Haag, Kurt Holm, Benno Zigerlig
