  • Publication number: 20140205373
Abstract: The present invention concerns a joint for assemble of two furniture parts to each other. A first furniture part (1) has a male part (3) for co-operation with a female part (4) of a second furniture part (2). Each of the male and female parts (3, 4) has a number of grooves (5, 6). At assembly the male part (3) is moved along the female part (4) by means of co-operation between the grooves (5, 6) of the male and female part (3, 4), respectively. The co-operating male and female parts (3, 4) have an insertion position and an end position, in which end position the furniture parts (1, 2) are assembled to each other. The grooves (5, 6) of one of the female and male parts (3, 4) are compressed during movement from the insertion position to the end position. The grooves (5, 6) of the pair of co-operating female part (4) and male part (3) are such that the furniture parts (1, 2) are pressed toward each other when the male part (3) is moved along the female part (4).

  • Patent number: 8757917
Abstract: An assembly (1) between a side member (2) and a rear panel (3), for instance in a piece of furniture, a wardrobe or a kitchen element. The assembly consists of a flange part (3a) of the rear panel (3) inserted sidewards into a locking slot (6a) in the side member (2), the insertion of the flange part (3a) being effected via a longitudinal slot (8) at the access to the locking slot (6). The rear panel (3) is secured to the side member (2) by at least one part (10) of the side member (2) extending into at least one withdrawal slot (20) in the rear panel (3), or by at least a part (21) of the rear panel extending into at least one withdrawal slot (23) in the side member (2). Hereby an assembly is obtained which is not only light of weight, but which is also solid and robust and easy to set up.

  • Publication number: 20140026488
Abstract: A method and mechanism for moving an element, such as a sliding door (1), is disclosed. In the movement a first end of the element is first turned outwards, a second opposite end is then turned out placing the element in parallel with the original location of the element. The element is then displaced by extending a pull-out guide (4). The mechanism comprises a housing (2), the pull-out guide rail (4), a lock-and-release mechanism (19) and at least two lever arms (8, 11, 14, 16, 27, 30, 33, 39, 42). One end of a first lever arm (8, 27, 39) is received in a pivoting point (10, 29, 41) at the pull-out guide rail (4) and the opposite end of said lever arm (8, 27, 39) is received in a pivoting point (9, 28, 40) at the housing (2). The pivoting point (10, 29, 41) at the pull-out guide rail (4) is placed at a first end of the pull-out guide rail (4).

  • Publication number: 20130051905
Abstract: A furniture element (100) comprising a first sheet of board material (102), a second sheet of board material (104) arranged with the first sheet to form a structure of the furniture element, and a connective element (106) is disclosed. The connective element has at least a part thereof arranged between the first and second sheet material such that when, arranging the first sheet, the second sheet and the connective element, the first sheet, the second sheet and the connective element become integral parts of the furniture element, and the connective element is arranged to receive mating connective elements for connection of remote furniture elements. An automated method of manufacturing such a furniture element is also disclosed.
